Despite $800,000 in assets, Jane Fonda’s private foundation has not made one charitable donation in over 5 years. The Atlanta-based charity organization hasn’t made a donation since 2006 in which it gave $1,000 to a gynecology group.
IRS tax records show that for the years 2007-2011 the Jane Fonda Foundation made no payouts of any kind. Regulations require that charity groups must donate 5% of their assets each year. If the IRS hadn’t been so preoccupied with conservative groups, they may have noticed that Jane should have donated $40,000 in 2011. Everyone, but Ms. Fonda, faces stiff penalties for breaking this rule.
The Fonda Foundation has not been making any charitable donations, but they have been trying to grow their pot. Records show that the foundation made 166 separate stock trades which netted the group $2,200. Not only do they suck at charity, they’re bad at playing the market too.
The Jane Fonda Foundation doesn’t appear to have a web presence, but over at Janefonda.com you can learn about her activism. Apparently, filming Barbarella left her feeling empty so she took up with the Vietcong, our enemies in the Vietnam War. The site also sells tote bags with a her mug shot holding up the “black power” fist if you are looking for some last minute Christmas gifts.
For those of you too young to remember, “Hanoi Jane” hooked up with the Vietcong at the height of the Vietnam War and was infamously photographed in an enemy anti-aircraft battery. The same anti-aircraft guns used to shoot down and kill Americans. She also made a series of radio broadcasts denouncing America and its leaders as war criminals.
Worst of all, when American POWs returned home claiming torture at the hands of the VC, she called them “hypocrites and liars.” Adding the POWs were, “military careerists and professional killers who are trying to make themselves look self-righteous, but they are war criminals according to the law.”
In addition to being part of the North Vietnamese propaganda war against American troops, Fonda has also been a friend of Palestinian terrorist groups, and an outspoken opponent of the Iraq War. She, at various times in her life, has been an avowed communist and supported domestic terror groups. She is such a nut that both the US and British governments kept tabs on her.
Jane Fonda is also a radical man-hating feminist. She lent her support to a leftist political group that was calling for a “man tax”, because they felt men bore a collective responsibility for violence against women.
Now that I think about it, it’s good that the Jane Fonda Foundation isn’t donating money. The crazy sh*t she supports doesn’t need funding: those causes need to die and fade away.
