PolitiFact has the politics part of its name down okay I guess, but it’s the “fact” suffix that they struggle with. The unapologetically liberal “fact checking” organization isn’t so much concerned with the truth as they are pushing a leftist agenda by fraudulently debunking things they don’t agree with. To demonstrate how truly full of shit they are, they recently determined a statement about Obama and Black Lives Matter was 100% true and yet deemed it to be mostly false.
US Representative Sean Duffy (R-WI) made a statement that PolitiFact wasn’t happy with:
Congressman Duffy recently claimed the president was not doing enough to shut down the violence from what he called a left-wing extremist group.
“His claim was that Black Lives Matter — the protest activist group — has been attacking police officers and Barack Obama invited them to the White House”
In order to prove Duffy’s statement false, PolitiFact must show that Black Lives Matter hasn’t attacked police officers and that Obama never invited BLM activists to the White House. Let’s see what they came up with:
First, let’s look at the Wisconsin Congressman’s claim about Black Lives Matter protesters attacking police officers.
PolitiFact Wisconsin found isolated incidents of attacks on officers during some events but it’s not always clear who is responsible.
They don’t really go into a lot of detail here, but what they are saying is that people at Black Lives Matter protests have attacked police officers. If it’s a BLM protest, then it’s clear who was responsible: Black Lives Matter. Their qualifier that these are “isolated incidents” doesn’t take away from the fact that they happened.
So far PolitiFact has proven the first part of Congressman Duffy’s statement to be true. I wonder how they’ll do with the second part:
Next, Duffy claimed President Obama invited Black Lives Matter members to the White House.
PolitiFact Wisconsin found two activists were invited to a forum but a wide variety of other organizations were also at the meeting — including law enforcement.
It doesn’t matter who else has been invited to the White House. At least two Black Lives Matter activists were invited, so therefore, Obama invited BLM to the White House.
Okay, even in downplaying things as much as possible, PolitiFact has proven that Black Lives Matter attacks police and that Obama has invited them to the White House. That’s what Sean Duffy said and that’s what PolitiFact found out to be true. I wonder how this liberal organization will rate the Congressman’s statement:
PolitiFact Wisconsin rates Duffy’s claim Mostly False.
How are two things that are 100% true end up being mostly false? I’m sorry, I can’t answer that for you. I simply don’t understand how the liberal mind works enough to decipher this. Logic would dictate that if the only two arguments in a statement are true then the entire statement is true. For the statement to be mostly false, more than 50% of it would have to be not true.
As best I can tell, liberals have a different interpretation of things and a creative use of language. Perhaps to them a “fact” is really just an opinion or lie that makes their delusional beliefs seem less like a complete load of crap.
And as a matter of fact, Black Lives Matter has attacked and injured police officers in Ferguson, New York, Baltimore, Milwaukee, Oakland, Charlotte, and everywhere else they have rioted in the past two and half years. They have also called for and inspired the murders of law enforcement across the country including the Dallas and Baton Rouge ambushes that took 8 police officer’s lives. That is far from isolated; that’s a coordinated attack.
And while we are throwing out facts, Black Lives Matter leaders DeRay Mckesson, Bittany Packnett, and Mica Grimm went to the White House in July to meet Obama. Black Lives Matter Founder Alicia Garza has also been to the White House, so that’s at least 4 BLMers that Obama has invited, double what PolitiFact claimed.
With that I am going to rate PolitiFact’s “mostly false” rating as “totally bullshit.”
