On the fifth anniversary of the Tea Party, Ann Coulter made an appearance on Hannity last night to discuss the movement.
“Well, there are two ways of looking at it,” Coulter said. “The people out in America who call themselves Tea Partiers are fantastic. They’re the heart of America and I think they’ve made a huge difference. They did in the 2010 elections which, in the House anyway, Republicans picked up more seats than they did in the famous 1994 election. That was a huge win.”
“But we also lost a lot of Senate seats,” she continued. “And unfortunately I think as with any grass roots movement, I think there are a lot of con men and scamsters tricking good Americans into sending them money, claiming ‘We are fighting for you’ and they aren’t fighting for you.”
Ann Coulter then noted that anyone who claims to be going after establishment Republicans is a “rich” Tea Party activist who should be suspect.
“The key word there is ‘Republican’,” she noted. “That means the media won’t get on their back and look at their finances. And it also means Republican — if we don’t elect Republicans — I don’t care which Republican — we will not repeal ObamaCare.”
