Obama Gets The ‘Pants on Fire’ Rating from Two Fact Checkers

Obama Gets The ‘Pants on Fire’ Rating from Two Fact Checkers

We might as well change Obama’s chief status to ‘Liar in Chief.’

The reason why is because two major fact checkers–Politifact and the Washington Post’s Fact Checker–gave President Obama three out of four Pinnochios. This upgrades him to Pants on Fire status!!

The major lie right now of course is when Nobama said we would be able to keep our insurance after Obamacare was passed into law.

The “pants on fire” status also applies to press secretary Jay Carney. Here’s what Carney is quoted as saying on The Blaze:

“The provision in the law was the manifestation of the assurance that if you have a plan you want to keep, you can keep it,” Carney said. “Insurance companies that chose to strip away benefits from existing plans in the interim, that canceled existing plans in the interim, they took away that grandfathering opportunity. And that’s a reality.”

The truth:

“Blaming the insurance companies can only go so far,” the Post stated. “First of all, the administration wrote the rules that set the conditions under which plans lose their grandfathered status. But more important, the law has an effective date so far in the past that it virtually guaranteed that the vast majority of people currently in the individual market would end up with a notice saying they needed to buy insurance on the Obamacare exchanges.”

See the difference? It is no wonder these two are the biggest liars in all of Washington.

They decided to cancel people’s insurance because it meant more potential customers for Obamacare. Think about it: if they cancel someone’s health insurance, the poor soul will have no choice but to shop around via healthcare.gov. It’s a win-win for Obama; however, that plan tanked. Big time.

At Obama’s Nov. 4th rally, Obama repeated the lie yet again; with a twist.

“Now, if you have or had one of these plans before the Affordable Care Act came into law and you really liked that plan, what we said was you can keep it if it hasn’t changed since the law passed,” he said.

PolitiFact with the truth:

PolitiFact said: “The way we read that comment—and, judging by the contentious White House press briefing the following day, the way other Washington journalists read it—was that Obama was saying that people had been misreporting the pledge he had made. It wasn’t that he said “if you like your plan, you can keep it” —it was “if your plan hasn’t changed since the law passed,” you can keep it.”

Yet no matter how he twists the truth, it’s still a lie. And this hole he keeps digging for himself and Carney just keeps getting deeper.

PolitiFact said, “we never found an instance in which he offered the caveat that it only applies to plans that hadn’t changed after the law’s passage. And seven of those 37 cases came after the release of the HHS regulations that defined the ‘grandfathering’ process, when the impact would be clear.’

What is clear to me is that even some liberal media organizations are opening their eyes to the lies of the Obama administration. That is very well and good because the more liberal media reports stuff like this, the more people will wake up to the truth.

We need to get someone into the White House in 2016 that can get America back on track. The more people open their eyes to the truth, the better chance we’ll have.
