For those of you as excited as I am about President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration festivities, the Presidential Inaugural Committee has just released the final schedule of events. It will start at Arlington National Cemetery on Jan. 19, where Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence will lay a wreath. After that, they will attend a “welcome concert” at the Lincoln Memorial.
Inauguration Day, on Jan. 20, Trump and Pence will both be sworn in at the U.S. Capitol. Then, they will watch the Inaugural Parade on Pennsylvania Avenue.
After the parade, that evening, will be the inaugural balls–I’m sure everyone will look gorgeous. If you wish to attend, there will be tickets for general public viewing available at the Lincoln Memorial concert and the Inaugural Parade.
The ceremonies end on Jan. 21 with the National Prayer Service at Washington National Cathedral. Committee chairman, Tom Barrack, said:
President-elect Trump is committed to unifying our country as we once again celebrate the foundation of our American system and the peaceful transfer of power. The 2017 inaugural celebrations will reflect President-elect Trump’s eagerness to get to work in order to make our country safer and stronger.
