Wednesday was the national student anti-gun protest in which kids across the country walked out of school to protest our 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. The US Capitol was swarmed with these truants and like clockwork democrats came out to encourage the destruction of a fundamental civil right. Of course Bernie Sanders was there and of course he was drenched in hypocrisy. To help protest private gun ownership, the socialist kook waded through the crowd surrounded by armed guards.

As you can see in the video, Sanders greets the low-information protesters with a forcefield of Capitol police shielding him. Interestingly enough, the cops are not some special duty officers who carry no weapons; they are just regular police who happen to have *gasp* guns on them. Wow, Sanders was actually protesting our right to own guns while being protected by guards with guns.
If guns are dangerous in anyone’s hands and only designed to kill, as leftist assholes like Sanders contend, why show up to protest gun rights with armed protection? It’s almost like Sanders sees a certain value in having his life protected by something other than an inflated sense of self-importance. Maybe this is his way of acknowledging that guns in the hands of good guys and gals can do good things like protect lives. Naw, he’s just a typical liberal hypocrite: Guns for me, none for thee!
Even funnier is that Bernie apparently felt unsafe enough among these “brave” gun-hating teenage protesters that he need some firepower to wander in their midst. You can actually hear the Capitol police yelling at the kids to get out of the way.
At some point Bernie grabbed a very little megaphone and repeatedly told the crowd that they are leading the nation. They didn’t actually have access to Bernie because he still has his armed police force protecting him, but they didn’t care and just liked being told they are in charge.
“All across the country people are sick of gun violence and the time is now to stand up,” yells Bernie.
Yeah, but people are totally cool with all the other kinds of violence that takes more lives. It’s only an outrage when people are killed by someone with a gun, right?
Bernie then started talking about gun control laws he wants to pass, which is presumably what he meant by “standing up” to gun violence. He didn’t explain how the people who currently aren’t following the laws by committee crimes with guns will suddenly obey them with additional laws, but he’s a liberal lunatic so he doesn’t owe you anything, let alone an explanation.
The basic point of this student rally/walk-out was to protest the fact that the Constitution guarantees our right to keep and bear arms. It was brought on by the Florida school shooting and its goal was to restrict our gun ownership rights, so the message was: somebody broke the law, let’s punish people who don’t break the law.
