Those wonderfully tolerant leftists are at it again. Broadway actress Carole Cook expressed her hopes that somebody assassinates President Trump. This actually goes beyond horrible liberal wishful thinking as she also indicated that she wouldn’t mind participating in such an assassination attempt. Remember when threatening the President of the United States was both frowned upon and considered a crime?
TMZ caught up with Cook and her husband to ask her about another Broadway actor who apparently assaulted a pro-Trump audience member. Cook didn’t know anything about that, but she did have some thoughts on President Trump.
“Where is John Wilkes Booth when you need him?” Cooked asked.
Cook then asked the cameraman if he knew who Booth was and her husband chimed in, “He killed the President.”
Cook jokingly reprimanded her husband not to say that, adding “they’ll get me.” She then again posed the question, “Where is he when you need him?”
At this point Cook is just being a terrible person wishing death on the President because she’s a leftist lunatic who thinks everyone with a different point of view must die, but then she crossed the line into what should be a criminal statement.
“So we need to kill the President?” the TMZ cameraman asked.
“Why not?” replied Cook.
I believe that what she said goes past a death fantasy and into an admission that she would like to participate in the assassination of the President. We’ll see if the Secret Service feels the same way.
Cook’s husband was laughing the whole time and she too thought this was hilarious.
“Will that get me in trouble? Will I be on an enemies list?” Cook asked. “My God, I hope so.”
It’s not the enemies list she should be worried about, but rather a charge of threatening the President of the United States. This is actually a felony, punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. At her age, 5 years could be a life sentence.
Still not taking this seriously, Cook ended by sarcastically saying, “Just keep me out of jail.”
I seem to remember rocker Ted Nugent getting in some trouble with the Secret Service when he made a veiled non-specific remark that he might do something to Obama if he were reelected. What Cook said is much worse and way more specific. She’s actually calling for the assassination of President Trump and indicating that she’d pitch in on the effort. Like I said, she should get in trouble for this, but I suspect liberals are immune from the laws that govern the rest of us.
And in answer to Cook’s question concerning the whereabouts of John Wilkes Booth, he was shot to death for being a traitor on April 26, 1865. Booth was a Confederate sympathizer who was vehemently against the abolition of slavery and assassinated Republican Abraham Lincoln for freeing the slaves. I can see why a liberal like Cook would hold him in such high regard.
