Fresh off his crusade against powdered chocolate, Chuck Schumer is blaming Donald Trump for train delays in New York City. Who says the Democratic Party lacks leadership? Not only does Schumer have his finger on the pulse of the issues regular people care about, his rational and well thought out statements show he is exactly the level-headed practical realist the party needs. With Chuck at the helm, democrats are sure to reverse their 8-year slide into irrelevancy and return to the majority party in American politics. Oh wait, it’s not Opposite Day. Sorry, please disregard all of that stuff except the part how Schumer is blaming Trump for NYC’s commuter woes.
The New York City subway system is in chaos. Trains are not running on time and commuters are being left stranded. The anger of this has people in the city beating the hell out of each other. According to the Senate Minority Leader, this is all because of Trump somehow:
— Chuck Schumer (@SenSchumer) July 10, 2017
“Train delayed? Tweet [President Trump] to support rail infrastructure programs like #Gateway so we have tunnels & rail systems that work for you,” tweeted Schumer.
Well, first off, Trump actually has a trillion dollar infrastructure plan that democrats hate because it doesn’t provide federal funding for abortions. After the President unveiled this plan to build bridges and tunnels and put Americans to work, Schumer shit all over it saying “President Trump’s campaign promises on infrastructure are crumbling faster than our roads and bridges.”
This is one of those things that if Trump proposes it, democrats automatically hate it. This should be a bi-partisan deal because it benefits the entire county. There should be support from both sides, but liberals are trying to show how much they support the anti-Trump resistance forces instead.
Aside from playing politics with a crucial issue, Schumer is straight-up full of shit with his blaming of Trump for terrible subway service in NYC. You may have noticed that NYC is a very liberal place in a very liberal state. Everyone from democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo to progressive mayor Bill deBalsio should be blamed for the way the trains run in the city, because they are the ones in charge of the transit system.
Oh, and you know who else is to blame for the mess in New York? Chuck Schumer, that’s who. He is a Senator from the state of NY and it is literally his job to represent the people and deliver things from the federal government that will benefit them. He has failed because he divides his time between insulting the President and getting worked up over unimportant shit.
The only thing the NYC subway clusterf*ck proves is the failure of democratic leadership. If you put liberals in charge, everything is going to be expensive and terrible.
For the record, Opposite Day is on January 25, so Schumer is going to have to wait a long time before he is finally right about something.
