Since Donald Trump’s election, CNN has dedicated most of it’s coverage to fake news against the President and has been substituting leftist political commentary for hard news. Without Trump, CNN has next to nothing to air, but the liberal cable network is threatening to stop covering the White House altogether. CNN doesn’t like the way Trump deals with the media that is entirely hostile toward him and to prove how hostile they are they are floating a boycott to “punish” him.
Yesterday White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer held a press gaggle instead of the usual morning briefing. A gaggle is pretty much the same thing where reports get to ask questions, the only difference being that cameras and recording devices are not allowed. This gaggle got under the skin of CNN White House corespondent Jim Acosta and he tweeted out this:
Call me old fashioned but I think the White House of the United States of America should have the backbone to answer questions on camera.

“Call me old fashioned but I think the White House of the United States of America should have the backbone to answer questions on camera,” wrote Acosta.
Wouldn’t it be more old fashioned for there to be no video cameras and for reporters to actually have to do some reporting? Just saying.
Acosta went on the air to express his outrage over the press gaggle:
“I don’t know what world we’re living in right now. I don’t know why everybody is going along with this. It just doesn’t make any sense to me. It just feels like we’re sort of slowly but surely being dragged into a new normal in this country where the president of the United States is allowed to insulate himself from answering hard questions,” said Acosta.
Keep in mind that reporters still get to ask the “hard” questions, they just don’t get to posture themselves on camera as mighty Trump Resistance Fighters.
Acosta then talked to The Huffington Post and his rage level was slightly higher:
HuffPost asked Acosta how reporters could push back against the White House’s restrictions.
“We should walk out. There must be collective action or else the stonewalling will continue,” said Acosta.
So there you have it: Jim Acosta and CNN are threatening to take their ball and go home because they don’t like the way a President they hate is treating them. The juvenile antics and post-election temper tantrum is prevalent in all corners of liberaldom.
Here’s the problem with CNN boycotting the White House that even CNN has to understand: nobody would f*cking care. If Jim Acosta stopped showing up asking his hard stupid questions, there would be no public outcry and it certainly wouldn’t punish Trump. In fact, it would be a gift to the President, which is the last thing a liberal propaganda machine like CNN would want to do.
The other issue facing CNN is that without wall-to-wall Trump coverage, the network wouldn’t have anything to air. I guess they could still roll out the pundits to bad mouth the President, but it would be even less interesting without any actual White House coverage.
Trump is known as a tough negotiator and CNN is out of their element here. They have nothing to bargain with. A threat to stop covering Trump when that’s exactly what he wants is an empty threat. What’s their next ploy? Are they going to threaten to start reporting factual news stories? That should really get him to bow to their demands.
