Markos Moulitsas founded both the Daily Kos and Vox, two of the most hilariously ridiculous liberal websites out there. Speaking of hilarious and ridiculous, Moulitsas sees an easy path for getting rid of Donald Trump and installing the equally hilarious and ridiculous Nancy Pelosi in the White House. Sure, this path involves a ton of things that will never happen but liberals don’t live in the real world so to them this is viable.
Yesterday Moulitsas tweeted out this:
Win House and improbably take Senate in 2018. Impeach Trump and Pence. Nancy Pelosi becomes president. #LetsDoIt

“Win House and improbably take Senate in 2018. Impeach Trump and Pence. Nancy Pelosi becomes president,” wrote Moulitsas.
At least he slipped the word “improbably” in there put it doesn’t take away from the delusion of this tweet. Democrats won’t take either chamber of Congress in 2018 for a variety of reasons, but mostly because nearly all of America is not buying what they are selling. In fact, because of the particular election map in two years, democrats look like they will lose even more seats in the Senate.
Just for fun, let’s give Moulitsas his fantasy and say that the democrats pull off the biggest miracle in the history of miracles and do take control over both chambers of Congress, they would still have a bit of a problem:
To bring articles of impeachment, there just needs to be a simple majority in the House of Representatives, which the democrats would have under Moulitsas’ fantasy. However to actually get rid of a president, the Senate holds a trail and two-thirds need to vote in favor. Even if the democrats could somehow flip the Senate, there is no way they are taking it back by that wide of a margin.
Then there’s the inconvenient problem that impeachment requires some kind of crime to proceed. Despite the liberal media’s daily nothing burger bombshells, Donald Trump stands accused of no crimes. The investigation into his collusion with the Russians has been going on since last year and has yet to produce anything. If there were anything to this investigation, there is no doubt that Obama would have done something about it when he was president and before Trump won the election last November.
And that leads to another problem: While there’s nothing to get Trump on, there’s even less to get VP Mike Pence on. If for some reason Trump were to leave office, Pence would become president and there is nothing even a fictions democratic majority in Congress could do about it.
I’m having fun playing Moulitsas’ “what if” game so let’s just say that everything comes up liberal and Trump and Pence are gone and the democrats have majorities in both chambers of Congress that leads to the biggest problem of all: Nancy Pelosi President of the United States.
Besides being senile and crazy, Pelosi is one of the least capable leaders in US political history. She has managed to sink her party into irrelevancy in less than a decade. In reality, she did that in about two years. If I were Moulitsas or any liberal, I’d be careful for what I wish for. You think Hillary Clinton sucked? Nancy Pelosi beats her exponentially in suckitude.
