As the vote for Brett Kavanaugh’s appointment to the Supreme Court approaches, desperate democrats have launched one last-ditch effort to annihilate the well-qualified judge. California Senator Dianne Feinstein has announced she has a mysterious letter concerning Kavanaugh. She ain’t saying what’s in the letter, but the left is speculating that involves an accusation of sexual misconduct on Kavanaugh’s part. It doesn’t even matter what is in the letter, the left is already screaming to have the vote postponed and liberal media are reporting as fact that Kavanaugh is guilty of some kind of sexual offense.
This is from The Intercept:
Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee have privately requested to view a Brett Kavanaugh-related document in possession of the panel’s top Democrat, Dianne Feinstein, but the senior California senator has so far refused, according to multiple sources familiar with the situation.
The specific content of the document, which is a letter from a California constituent, is unclear, but Feinstein’s refusal to share the letter has created tension on the committee, particularly after Feinstein largely took a back seat to her more junior colleagues last week, as they took over Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings with protests around access to documents.
And check out how dumb this thing is:
The letter took a circuitous route to Feinstein, the top-ranking Democrat on the Judiciary Committee. It purportedly describes an incident that was relayed to someone affiliated with Stanford University, who authored the letter and sent it to Rep. Anna Eshoo, a Democrat who represents the area.
You got that? Someone who is loosely affiliated with Stanford heard a story about something, wrote a letter about it to a democrat, who passed it on to Feinstein. This is actually less credible than the second-hand anonymous sources the liberal media relies on to attack President Trump.
As for what this mysterious letter is all about, nobody knows for sure but that hasn’t stopped them from speculating:
Different sources provided different accounts of the contents of the letter, and some of the sources said they themselves had heard different versions, but the one consistent theme was that it describes an incident involving Kavanaugh and a woman while they were in high school.
The Huffington Post added one little detail to the speculation:
Multiple sources have told HuffPost that the document in question is a letter sent to Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-Calif.) that concerns potential sexual misconduct involving Kavanaugh and a woman when they were both in high school.
In a statement Feinstein has said she has passed this letter on to the FBI:
“I have received information from an individual concerning the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. That individual strongly requested confidentiality, declined to come forward or press the matter further, and I have honored that decision. I have, however, referred the matter to federal investigative authorities,” said Feinstein.
Plus this woman making the vague accusation is represented by a Gloria Allred-style bullshit feminist lawyer:
The woman who is the subject of the letter is now being represented by Debra Katz, a whistleblower attorney who works with #MeToo survivors.
Most people are speculating that this is a nothing-burger, but I think it’s much more sinister than that. This is a disgusting and dirty trick on the part of the democrats to keep Brett Kavanaugh off of the Supreme Court, because they can’t do it with votes.
Look at all of the facts here: An anonymous woman, who doesn’t want to come forward is making a vague sexual assault allegation against Kavanaugh when he was in high school. She never reported this to the police or told anyone for decades. On the eve of Kavanaugh’s confirmation, she tells this story to an anonymous third party who passes it along to the people trying to stop Kavanugh’s confirmation. It already smells like bullshit, but the timing makes it absolutely reek.
If this woman doesn’t want to be identified or even come forward with these allegations, why the hell did she hire a lawyer? Why did she come forward with this stuff is she didn’t want to come forward?
Also, why would Feinstein pass this on the FBI? Sexual assault is a local or state matter and whatever is alleged is irrelevant due to the statute of limitations. I believe Feinstein is being both secretive and making a big show in an attempt to block Kavanaugh’s confirmation. If she legitimately had anything, she’d drop that bomb the second she got it.
You ain’t fooling anyone, DiFi. Everyone know sexual predation is a democrat thing.
