Theory of Relativity? More like the Theory of Race-ativity. The way things work on the left is any time someone or something is mildly offensive, they boycott that someone or something. It turns out that theoretical physicist Albert Einstein was kind of a racist, so I can only assume liberals will now boycott theoretical physics. Maybe they will hold die-in protests at every institution that teaches this science and perhaps Al Sharpton will try to shake down theoretical physics to make amends for its inherent racism. One thing is for sure theoretical physics shouldn’t get away with being so damn racist.
The California Institute of Technology, a place where theoretical physics is taught, recently translated Einstein’s travel diary and discovered that he wasn’t too fond of the Chinese:
Written between October 1922 and March 1923, the diaries see the scientist musing on his travels, science, philosophy and art. In China, the man who famously once described racism as “a disease of white people” describes the “industrious, filthy, obtuse people” he observes. He notes how the “Chinese don’t sit on benches while eating but squat like Europeans do when they relieve themselves out in the leafy woods. All this occurs quietly and demurely. Even the children are spiritless and look obtuse.” After earlier writing of the “abundance of offspring” and the “fecundity” of the Chinese, he goes on to say: “It would be a pity if these Chinese supplant all other races. For the likes of us the mere thought is unspeakably dreary.”
Don’t worry, I had to look up “fecundity” too. It means having the ability to produce an abundance of offspring. Einstein was saying the Chinese breed like rabbits.
And there was even more high-brow racism:
Further passages in the diaries, which are thought to have been written for Einstein’s stepdaughters in Berlin while he and his wife were travelling in Asia, Spain and Palestine, and as an aide memoire, see him writing of the Chinese that “even those reduced to working like horses never give the impression of conscious suffering. A peculiar herd-like nation [ … ] often more like automatons than people.” …“I noticed how little difference there is between men and women; I don’t understand what kind of fatal attraction Chinese women possess which enthrals the corresponding men to such an extent that they are incapable of defending themselves against the formidable blessing of offspring”.
I don’t know if you caught that, I had to read a couple times myself, but Einstein is saying that Chinese women are so ugly he can’t understand how Chinese men can bring themselves to have sex and make babies with them. I have to disagree with Al on this one, there are plenty of beautiful Asian women out there who would make great mothers.
Ze’ev Rosenkranz is the editor in charge of translating Einstein’s diaries and summed it up like this: “In these instances, other peoples are portrayed as being biologically inferior, a clear hallmark of racism…Einstein perceives a foreign ‘race’ as a threat, which is one of the characteristics of a racist ideology…In light of these instances, we must conclude that Einstein did make quite a few racist and dehumanising comments in the diary, some of which were extremely unpleasant.”
This obviously means that Einstein is no different than the Confederate Flag at this point. His image must be stricken from every place it is displayed. Any building bearing his name must be changed to some homely feminist who nobody has ever heard of.
As for his mass–energy equivalence equation, E can no longer equal mc2. It has to equal something more inclusive and intersectional. I think E should equal MC Hammer. He’s black and his career could use a boost.
