Bullshit and Hillary Clinton go together like sexual assault and Bill Clinton: where you find one you’ll find the other. The latest pile of bovine excrement from Camp Hillary is that she wasn’t surprised at all that she lost the election to Donald Trump. Apparently her fatal cockiness leading up to the election and her complete mental breakdown after the loss were all just an illusion.
Fox News Insider brings us this fascinating report:
Months later, the left still seems to be recovering from the shock of Hillary Clinton losing to Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.
However, as it turns out, Clinton herself may have anticipated the election loss, despite all signs pointing to her victory.
In an interview with CBS News, Clinton’s campaign communications director Jennifer Palmieri said that although Clinton was upset about her loss, she wasn’t too surprised by it.
“I think she’s one of the people who is least surprised that she lost. … Contrary to this view that she held onto this dream of being the first woman president, I think she came close to not running in 2016,” said Palmieri.
Palmieri said Clinton eventually decided to run “because she thought she was the person who could best be president and that she was the Democrat that was best positioned to be able to win,” as compared to Sen. Bernie Sanders.
That’s so much bullshit, Hillary’s people needed a bulldozer to push it to the media. First, Hillary was always going to run for president. She didn’t make a snap decision to save the democrats from Bernie Sanders. The moment she conceded to Obama in the 2008 primaries, she was already plotting to run when he was done.
Next, we have her absolute confidence that she was going to win. She was so sure in fact, that she didn’t even bother to campaign in key states that ended up going to Trump and costing her the election. She ordered a massive fireworks display in NYC to celebrate her impending victory. At her campaign headquarters confetti that was supposed to look like shards of glass was to come raining down when she won, symbolizing her shattering the glass ceiling. She never had one moment of doubt that she wouldn’t be the next president.
Then, there is the way she reacted after it became apparent she wasn’t going to win. She didn’t give a concession speech to her supporters, making campaign chair John Podesta tell everyone to go home. Reports are that she threw a major expletive-laced temper tantrum on all of her campaign staff for blowing the election. According to that same staff, she cried for a solid 3 hours after finding out she had lost.
Lastly, we have her post-election behavior. From her own mouth she said she went home and curled up into a ball. She then spent weeks wandering in the woods near her New York home and occasionally posing for sad selfies with random dog walkers. And let’s not forget that she not-so-secretly backed Green Party candidate Jill Stein’s pathetic recount effort. She is still devastated by this loss today.
Remember how surprised Hillary Clinton was at the Democratic National Convention when the balloons dropped? Losing the election was a much bigger surprise for her. Not only was she convinced she was going to win, she felt entitled to the White House. Getting kicked in the clam by America was the biggest surprise of her life.
