You may have noticed that Penn Jillette, of Penn & Teller fame, is a white man. You may also be aware that Donald Trump is a white man, known to be heterosexual. Somehow the magician appears to be claiming that Trump said things of a racial and sexual nature that made him feel uncomfortable. Jillette won’t say what those things are and can’t remember any details, but when it comes to attacking the President this is what the left considers hard evidence.
Jillette was a contestant on Trump’s hit show The Celebrity Apprentice in 2012. Though it’s been 6 years, the magic man suddenly remembered some awful things about the President, which he explained with zero detail in a Vulture interview.
Vulture: Does Mark Burnett have tapes of President Trump saying damaging things during Celebrity Apprentice?
Jillette: Yeah, I was in the room.
Vulture: You’ve heard him say …
Jillette: Oh, yeah.
Vulture: Can you tell me what you’ve heard him say?
Jillette: No. If Donald Trump had not become president, I would tell you all the stories. But the stakes are now high and I am an unreliable narrator. What I do, as much as anything, is I’m a storyteller. And storytellers are liars. So I can emotionally tell you things that happened racially, sexually, and that showed stupidity and lack of compassion when I was in the room with Donald Trump and I guarantee you that I will get details wrong. I would not feel comfortable talking about what I felt I saw in that room — because when I was on that show I was sleeping four to five hours a night. I was uncomfortable. “Stress” is the wrong word, but I was not at my best.
After admitting that he’s a liar who doesn’t remember anything accurately, here’s all the shit Jillette is willing to serve up:
Jillette: He would say racially insensitive things that made me uncomfortable. I don’t think he ever said anything in that room like “African-Americans are inferior” or anything about rape or grabbing women, but of those two hours every other day in a room with him, every ten minutes was fingernails on chalkboard.
So Trump said things that were racially and sexually insensitive that made Jillette feel uncomfortable? This kind of sounds like Jillette’s #MeToo moment, doesn’t it?
That Jillette can’t say what those things are and doesn’t even remember them doesn’t add much credibility to his story. Then again, this is an attack on Trump so it doesn’t require an ounce of credibility. The left will pick this story up and run with headlines like: “Penn Jillette Confirms That Trump Is A Racist Misogynist.”
This section of the interview was obviously in reference to the alleged tapes from The Apprentice in which kooks like Tom Arnold and Omarosa claim Trump used the N-word. Jillette obviously didn’t say that Trump used this racial slur and even stated that the President never even said disparaging things about black people. I don’t expect the left to report on that aspect of Jillette’s answers because it simply doesn’t fit their anti-Trump agenda.
