Vice President Joe Biden is a democrat, a party which believes abortion should be as routine as picking up some dry cleaning. He is also a Catholic, a religion that frowns upon the killing of unborn children. This contradiction between his faith and his liberal politics was made all the more confusing by a recent interview in which he said he believes life begins at conception, but still gives the homicidal cause of abortion two enthusiastic thumbs up.
Father Matt Malone, S.J., editor in chief of America Media sat down with Crazy Joe in an effort to understand his lunacy. At around the 13:30 mark, the conversation shifts to abortion:
“I’m prepared to accept as a matter of faith – my wife and I, my family – the issue of abortion,” he said. “But what I’m not prepared to do is impose…a precise view that is born out of my faith on other people who are equally God-fearing, equally committed to life, equally committed to the sanctity of life.”
That’s an interesting way of describing people who kill babies in the womb for sure. Then, we get the money shot:
“I’m prepared to accept that at the moment of conception there’s human life and being. I’m not prepared to say that to other God-fearing, non-God-fearing people that have a different view,” said Biden.
Biden then tries to explain how he can believe life begins at conception but support abortion:
“There’s even been disagreement in our church, not that— abortion is always wrong. But there’s been debate, and so there’s for me a point where the church makes a judgment— as we Catholics call de fide doctrine, ‘This is what our doctrine is.’”
And that his politics override his faith:
“All the principles of my faith, I make no excuse for attempting to live up to— I don’t all the time. But I’m not prepared to impose doctrine that I’m prepared to accept on the rest of them,” he said.
The big argument from the liberals and feminists about abortion is that life doesn’t begin at conception. They think a baby is a pile of mindless goo that doesn’t become a human until it pops out of the mother’s womb.
For Biden to admit that life does indeed begin at conception means that he believes abortion is murder. There’s no other way to look at this. A fetus is a human life and abortion takes that life away so it’s homicide. It’s not a matter of self-defense, so this is not a justified homicide, it’s murder, and Biden believes that to be true.
Making him even more of a monster is that he not only supports this murderous practice, but he refuses to do anything to stop it because of his lefty political views.
At the end of this line of questioning, Father Malone asks Biden if there is a place in the Democratic Party for someone with a pro-life point of view to which the VP replies “absolutely.” Really? It’s been my observation that democrats tend to call pro-lifers “extremists” and accuse them of waging war on women.
The Senate democrats just blocked a bill that would have banned abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Joe Biden’s party thinks it’s totally cool to kill a 5-month old baby and it would seem that Crazy Joe is cool with it too.
