This is probably the best example of what the anti-Trump resistance is all about. A woman won a creative contest but was stripped of her victory and prizes because it was learned that she supported Donald Trump. There was nothing in the contest rules about Trump supporters being ineligible so hopefully this ends up in court. It’s the only way lefties are going to learn that their temper tantrums come with a price.
The contest in question was held by reality TV star, overrated tattoo artist, and general pain-in-the-ass Kat Von D. It was held on Instagram and involved submitting photos using Kat Von D’s make-up brand. A woman named Gypsy Freeman won the contest and was supposed to get $2,100 in prizes, including a trip for two to Los Angeles to meet Von D and be a part of some lame ass marketing thing.
But then this happened, as reported by The Kansas City Star:
When Freeman was announced as the winner, curious Instagrammers went to her page and found a pro-Trump post from Election Day last year.
That evening, she received a direct message from Kat Von D’s personal Instagram account, telling her the celebrity had “drawn a personal line in the sand between myself and anyone who supports that man,” according to screenshots of the conversation.
“My launch party [and my brand] celebrates many things that Trump is against, and I just need you to know that I personally have a hard time with inviting anyone who would support such an anti-feminist, anti-homosexual/LGBT, anti-immigrant, and anti-climate change fascist such as Trump,” wrote Von D.
Freeman captured this conversation with a series of screenshots, including her super-awesome response.
“I won’t be upset with you if you can’t have us there for these reasons, and I wish you the best. We would love to be there, of course, but I sincerely do understand if you decide to replace us with someone who supports the candidate you support,” replied Freeman.
While Freeman definitely pegged Von D with that, she is a liberal so she can’t even own up to her own terribleness.
“It’s not about inviting people based on their political stance – it’s just extremely difficult (borderline impossible) for me to be friends with or associate with anyone who would support a man who goes against everything I stand for,” said Von D.
This is what I’m talking about when I say liberals don’t know or care what words mean. Von D stripped this contest winner of her victory based entirely on her political stance after saying it was not based on politics.
And just in case things aren’t liberal enough, Von D ends by calling freeman a Nazi-sympathizer:
“I would feel the same way towards people who supported Hitler, or any other fascist,” Von D said.
Von D scrubbed any mention of this contest from the Internet, but the news was able to find a cached version of the contest rules. It didn’t say anything about having to be a left-wing lunatic in order to win, so I think Freeman has a pretty good lawsuit here.
Commenting about the incident, Freeman said, “It’s definitely bigotry – it’s everything that they’re calling us, they’re doing. It’s a huge case of hypocrisy.”
That’s certainly a valid point, but Freeman is forgetting that liberals made up a rule that says things are only bad when conservatives do them. If a conservative pseudo-celebrity held a contest and then disqualified the winner for being a Hillary Clinton supporter, that would be an outrage. F*cking over a Trump supporter is completely acceptable as dictated by the liberal rules and mandated by The Resistance.
