Vox is the dumb liberal website that explains the news to even dumber liberals. That being said, the big revelation from Vox today is that the only reason Donald Trump is President is because he won the Electoral College. Well, duh. That’s how our country elects presidents. This is like saying that France only won the World Cup final because they scored more goals than Croatia. A stupid as it is, this is a big step for the left to acknowledge that Trump is the President and that it’s because he did the thing that people have to do to be elected.
Here’s a tweet that has everyone not on the left laughing their asses off:
To be clear: Trump only won the presidential election in 2016 because of the Electoral College. https://t.co/0Eiri1qrrp

Wait, let’s see if I have this right: the only reason why Trump is President is because the rules dictating how presidents are elected say so? What sort of witchcraft is this? The Vox article isn’t much better:
To be clear, Trump only won the presidential election in 2016 because of the Electoral College. He lost the popular vote to Democrat Hillary Clinton by nearly 2.9 million votes — the biggest margin in history for a losing candidate — but won the Electoral College by 74 votes. And Democrats have lost two of the past five presidential elections because of the Electoral College. In 2000, Democrat Al Gore won half a million more votes than George W. Bush nationwide, but lost the presidency after conceding Florida to Bush by only 537 votes.
I think that just blew my mind. Not only did Trump win because of the Electoral College, but also Hillary Clinton and Al Gore lost because of it. Did Obama win because of the Electoral College and did John McCain and Mitt Romney lose because of this insidious thing?
This is dumb even for Vox. Every president became president by winning the Electoral College because, as I already stated, this is how America elects presidents. Since winning the EC is how people win, losing it is how people lose. The way Vox is presenting this obvious information is that somehow Republicans like Trump and Bush Jr. have benefited from the EC where Clinton and Gore were punished by it’s unfairness.
The rules are the same for everyone and they know it going in. Maybe next time the democrats will actually campaign in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. The Electoral College was established in 1787 by Constitutional Convention and that means that every single US president was elected this way. This is not something that just snuck up on the democrats with Donald Trump, it’s the established way we elect our presidents and it’s been around from day one.
If this revelation that Trump was only elected because he won the Electoral College is Earth-shattering to liberals, wait until they find out that the Constitutional separation of powers allows the President to enforce the law. I can’t wait for the next Vox exposé: Trump can only enforce immigration law because the Constitution says he can.
