Voter fraud? What voter fraud? This must be some kind of mistake because liberals have assured us that voter fraud simply doesn’t exist. They also tell us that illegal aliens don’t vote in our elections and yet a bunch of them were just busted for illegally casting ballots in the 2016 presidential election. When the left says that voter ID laws disenfranchise certain people, we now know what they mean.
The Chicago Tribune reports:
…officials have announced the indictment of five people on felony charges related to the November 2016 general election in Lake County.
The charges against the five local residents began with information uncovered by the Lake County clerk’s office, and then the cases were developed through an investigation by the Lake County state’s attorney’s office.
Assistant State’s Attorney Fred Day said the cases all involve alleged crimes stemming from the Nov. 8, 2016 general election, and the lengthy time frame prior to charges included initial discovery of the alleged crimes by the clerk’s office, followed by the need to interview both witnesses and those eventually charged in the cases as part of the investigation.
I like how the Tribune keeps calling it the “general election” and not the presidential election, like that makes it sound less bad or something. These criminals weren’t casting illegal ballots to vote for county comptroller; they wanted to vote for president. I wonder who they voted for.
And here are those fraudulent voters now:
…Marcelo Villaruz, of Beach Park, was charged with perjury for allegedly misrepresenting his citizenship prior to voting.
His wife, Gina Villaruz, was indicted on the same charges. Both are scheduled to be arraigned March 21, as are the other three defendants.
Yvette Yust, of Waukegan, was also charged with two counts of perjury for misrepresenting citizenship…
…Janet Pokryfke, of Mundelein, was charged with voting more than once, and perjury for allegedly casting both mail-in and walk-in votes in the general election.
Finally, Marvin Hershman, of Riverwoods, was charged with two counts of voting more than once and one count of perjury…
The Tribune won’t say if the people who misrepresented their citizenship are illegal aliens, but I feel comfortable in making that assessment. Maybe I’m wrong, but they ain’t US citizens which means they can’t vote. It also means that when they are convicted of these felony charges, they will be deported.
Lake County, Illinois went to Hillary Clinton by 20 points in the 2016 presidential election. What are the chances that any of the vote fraudsters cast a ballot for anyone but her? It can’t be a coincidence that fraudulent votes always go to democrats and that democrats deny voter fraud exists. If Republicans were getting fraudulent votes, you can bet your ass that democrats would be screaming for voter ID laws.
