Some people lie to get out of trouble and others lie to impress. The thing however about pathological liars is, they lie just for the sake of lying. Barack Obama is a noted BS artist and he showed off his master strokes at a rally in California on Saturday. In what almost certainly is not true, Obama told a tall tale about how he was once kicked out of Disneyland. He didn’t even try to make it into a story of racial discrimination, he was just laying the manure because he likes the way it smells.
Obama spoke at a rally in Anaheim, CA on Saturday with the pointless expressed purpose of getting Californians to vote for democrats. I guess because Disneyland is also in Anaheim he told a story about how he had visited the theme park twice in his youth. The first came when he was 11-years-old:
”I went and did all the ‘Bare Necessity’ things and, you know, Small World, the Matterhorn, I mean, it was the bomb,” said Obama.
The bomb? Does this guy know how to relate to young people or what?
But the second time Obama went to Disneyland it was anything but the bomb. As he tells it, he went to the park to see Kool & the Gang perform and then everything went to shit:
“After the concert, because we were teenagers––you could still kind of hang out in the park, so we went into the gondolas. And I’m ashamed to say this, so close your ears, young people, but a few of us were smoking on the gondolas. No, no, these were cigarettes, people. Terrible thing. At the time, I’m a teenager, I’m rebellious. As we’re coming in, there are two very large Disneyland police officers. And they say, ‘SIr, can you come with us?’ And they escorted us out of Disneyland. This is a true story, everybody. I was booted from the Magic Kingdom. But what I remember about it was at the end, they said, ‘You’re going to have to leave, sir, for breaking the rules of the Magic Kingdom, but you are welcome to come back anytime.’ Which I thought, well, that was nice of them,” Obama said.
If Donald Trump ever claimed he was kicked out of Disneyland, you can bet your ass that Snopes, Politifact, and every fact-checker from every liberal media outlet would be all over. With Obama? Not so much, so I guess it’s up to me.
Obama claims that between the ages of 11-18 he went to Disneyland twice. During those years, he lived in Hawaii and was dirt poor because both of his parents had abandoned him. How exactly did he make it to Southern California twice during this period of time? Who took him? Who paid for these vacations? Where did he stay?
In the second Disneyland tale, Obama says he was kicked out for smoking. He doesn’t say what year this happened, only that he was a teenager. He would have been a teenager in the years 1973-1978. After that, he was an adult. I know for a fact that smoking was allowed in Disneyland back then. Hell, in those years people could smoke in grocery stores, movie theaters, and even on airplanes. You can still smoke at Disneyland to this day, just in designated areas. Back then however, smoking was allowed everywhere.
Additionally, I know two people who were kicked out of Disneyland in the 1980’s for the similar crime of drinking alcohol and they both got lifetime bans. How is it that Obama was invited back after he got booted? Was he already the messiah back then?
It is possible that Obama went to Disneyland as an adult while he briefly attended Occidental College in Southern California, but he was no teenager that point. Also, I actually found this:
1980: Disneyland’s Grad Nite ’80 takes place with live entertainment provided by Kool & The Gang, K.C. & The Sunshine Band, Teri DeSario, Papa Doo Run Run, and Shalamar.
So it’s even possible Obama actually saw Kool & The Gang at Disneyland. I don’t however believe his story. My guess is, if he was actually there, he was kicked out for smoking weed in Disneyland or maybe something even worse.
It still doesn’t clear up the nagging question of: who was paying for all of this? Obama was dirt-poor and never had a real job in his life, yet he was a regular customer at Disneyland and got a world-class education at some of the country’s best schools.
I rate Obama’s story: Mostly False
There may be some kernels of truth, but things definitely didn’t go down the way he says they did. Also, he omitted many details to cover up his murky history and his bizarre lack of need for money to pay for things.
