Democrats are pushing this wild conspiracy theory that Donald Trump and members of his campaign colluded with the Russian government to steal the presidential election away from Hillary Clinton. It is largely based on the fact that some members of Trump’s campaign met with the Russian ambassador, but as fate would have it, Hillary’s campaign also met with the diplomat. I wonder why the left isn’t also pushing a conspiracy theory that Hilary was trying to steal the election with Russia’s help.
Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov was interviewed on CNN and said some things hysterical democrats probably didn’t want to hear. Fareed Zakaria asked point blank if the Russians worked to influence the election.
“Did the Russian government have any collaboration or serious communication back and forth with Donald Trump’s campaign during the election campaign last year?” Zakaria asked.
“The answer is very simple: no,” responded Peskov.
Peskov then dropped this truth nugget that points out how ridiculous it is for democrats to assert that Russia manipulated the election and installed Trump in the White House:
“You are self-humiliating yourselves by saying a country can intervene in your election process. America, a huge country…the most powerful country in the world, with very, very stable political traditions, and you say that a country can easily intervene and easily influence your electoral process. This is simply impossible,” said Peskov.
Zakaria brought up the liberal talking point that Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak had met with several Trump associates and then this happened:
“Well, if you look at some people connected with Hillary Clinton during her campaign, you would probably see that he had lots of meetings of that kind,” Peskov said.
But wait, there’s more:
“There are lots of specialists in politology, people working in think tanks advising Hillary or advising people working for Hillary,” said Peskov.
Pesky then got in a final sarcastic jab at the democrats who think Trump should be impeached based on the nothingness of his non-existent Russian connections:
“But there were no meetings about elections — electoral process … So if you look at it with intention to demonize Russia, you would probably say that, yes, he was trying to interfere in Hillary’s activities. But it would be nonsense, because this is not true,” said Peskov.
So why is it treasonous that some of Trump’s people met with the Russian ambassador, but not when some of Hillary Clinton’s people met with him? The quickest answer is because democrats are completely gull of shit.
