In 2016 Russian intelligence agents may have hacked DNC e-mails and we learned that Hillary Clinton is kind of a bitch and John Podesta likes risotto. In 1941 the Japanese launched a sneak attack on the Pearl Harbor Naval base, killing 2,403 Americans and wounding 1,178. These two things are not comparable and yet lefty dumping ground Politico says that are exactly the same.
Here’s a headline that should get someone fired: Putin’s Attack on the U.S. Is Our Pearl Harbor
Just to be clear, Pearl Harbor is our Pearl Harbor. We are Americans and the attack was against America.
Not only does Politico compare alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election with Pearl Harbor but also the 9/11 attacks. Again, 9/11 is our 9/11.
Now get ready for why crybaby liberals who can’t accept that their candidate lost thinks unproven Russian election meddling is the same as the two worst attacks on the US:
In 2016, our country was targeted by an attack that had different operational objectives and a different overarching strategy, but its aim was every bit as much to devastate the American homeland as Pearl Harbor or 9/11. The destruction may not send pillars of smoke into the sky or come with an 11-digit price tag, and there’s no body count or casualty statistics—but the damage done has ravaged our institutions and shaken our belief in our immovability.
What institutions have been ravaged? The Democratic Party? That was an inside job. I would also like to add that because a small minority of leftist had their belief in our immovability shaken, whatever the hell that means, it’s not the same thing as the overt acts of war in Pearl harbor and 9/11.
As if this isn’t already insulting enough, Politico actually makes a case that whatever they think the Russians did to the 2016 election is actually worse than Pearl Harbor:
Piece by piece, name by name, one operational detail after the next, special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation has documented that the Russian attack on the American homeland and the American people was every inch as organized, expansive, penetrating and daring as that Japanese run on our fleet or bin Laden’s plan to use civilian airliners as weapons. The Kremlin targeted no remote outpost or iconic landmark, but rather aimed at the very heart of what we are as a nation. The attacks target our processes of government, our democratic institutions and our trust in our values.
Did you catch that? They are saying that Pearl Harbor was some “remote outpost” and therefore not a big deal, while the Russian “attack” struck at he heart of America. Like I said, somebody really needs to lose their job over this insulting piece of shit.
The reality is, even if the indictments against Russians are true, all they are accused of doing is stealing Hillary Clinton campaign e-mails and placing non-specific ads on social media. That’s literally the extent of the allegations against Russia meddling in the election. They didn’t hack the election. They didn’t change vote counts. Nothing they did had any measurable effect on the election whatsoever.
Much of the Politico article is basically complaining that Russia has attacked us but that we haven’t retaliated, and they don’t mean with some kind of a cyber response. The same liberals who didn’t think we shouldn’t have had a military response to 9/11, want us to start an actual war with Russia because Hillary ran a shitty campaign and lost fair and square.
This is our Pearl Harbor, our 9/11. In the past, we have risen to the defense of our values, our ideologies and our institutions. It’s time for another fight.
You know what? I fully support liberals taking up arms and confronting Russia. If this is so important to them, they really should be willing to fight and die for it. The US military should have no involvement and American service members should not have to sacrifice, but if liberals want to go get slaughtered over this, more power to them.
