I was going to make a joke about what Rachel Maddow fantasizes about but what she actually longs for is funny enough and much less disgusting. The MSNBC host wove a delusional fantasy where Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is convicted of felony rape over the baseless accusation that he tried to cop a feel over 35 years ago. I would have guessed something completely different, but this is apparently what gets her her boxer briefs moist.
Unless you live in a cave, you have to know that democrats sprung a last ditch effort to derail Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court with a ridiculous and utterly unprovable story. Christine Blasey Ford has accused Kavanaugh of trying to touch her inappropriately sometime in the early 1980’s. She doesn’t know exactly when this happened of even where it occurred, and she can’t explain how she got in the situation or what she did afterwards. On top of that, the only witness she says can back up her story said it never happened.
Because Kavanaugh is a conservative judge and was nominated by President Trump, liberals are working overtime to push this bullshit story to sabotage a well qualified nominee. And that brings us to Rachel Maddow. Without any kind of evidence to back up Ford’s story, the MSNBC host has convicted Brett Kavanaugh for felony rape.
“There is no statute of limitations for a felony like this in Maryland. Local authorities in Montgomery County, Maryland now say that while this allegation does pertain to their jurisdiction, the reason they have not opened a criminal investigation of this mater is because they have not received a criminal complaint of the alleged victim in this case—I don’t know that it will always be this way,” said Maddow.
“Whether or not the White House and Senate Republicans ever get it together to allow the FBI to look into this matter before the try to vote on Kavanaugh as a Supreme Court nominee. Even if they did vote on him and confirm him to the court and he became a Supreme Court Justice, there would remain the possibility—indefinitely, if Dr. Ford ever wanted to pursue it this way, that she could at any point make that criminal complaint to the police in Maryland who would not be bound by some expiration of the statute of limitations,” said Maddow.
“Such a complaint could start a criminal investigation, conceivably, of a sitting Supreme Court justice for felony attempted rape. If law enforcement found that allegation to be substantiated and found sufficient evidence to bring charges, there is no rule against indicting a sitting Supreme Court justice. There is not even a Justice Department policy against indicting a sitting Supreme Court justice as there is for, say, a Present of the United Sates,” concluded Maddow.
That’s a lot of “what ifs” but even then Maddow is completely full of shit. There absolutely is a statute of limitations in Maryland and it’s a lot less than the 35 years since Ford alleges Kavanaugh tried to touch her against her will. Also, what Ford is alleging took place is not a felony rape, but a misdemeanor simple assault.
Plus Ford hasn’t actually filed a criminal complaint as she has no evidence to back up her claim. The police definitely wouldn’t find her claim credible and bring charges against Kavanaugh, because she can’t provide basic details like: when, where, why, or how.
This is some kind of insane wishful thinking on Maddow’s part, but it’s also a concession that Kavanaugh will be confirmed to the Supreme Court. Maddox can’t deal with the idea of a well-qualified conservative judge being appointed so she’s engaging in a fantasy where he is convicted of a crime and dragged off the bench. It’s kind of the same fantasy all liberals have about President Trump and just as unlikely.
