American Horror Story started out as a pretty good TV series but has gotten progressively worse, culminating in the laughably bad and unwatchable last season. In an effort to bury the franchise once and for all, the series creator revealed that the next season will be about the 2016 presidential election. The details are scant, but I think it’s safe to assume that it won’t be a Republican-Friendly season.
After the last AHS season, which was an insult to everyone who watched it’s intelligence, for some reason FX has renewed the series for two more seasons. Series creator Ryan Murphy has revealed why the network is completely stupid to continue to dump money into this pathetic franchise.
From ABC News:
“American Horror Story” is taking on a new challenge: politics. The show’s producer, Ryan Murphy, gave a glimpse into its next season on Wednesday…
Asked about the seventh season of the hit FX series, Murphy told Cohen, “I don’t have a title, but the season that we begin shooting in June is going to be about the election that we just went through. I think that will be interesting for a lot of people.”
AHS hasn’t been interesting to people for several years. What makes Murphy think doing a horror version of the 2016 election will be? Oh, that’s right, he’s a liberal and wants to use his platform to slam a free and fair election that he doesn’t agree with. Who cares if it is completely irrelevant or radically inappropriate?
If you were thinking that the next season of AHS will only be loosely based on the election, Murphy dropped this nugget:
As to whether that means someone will be cast to play President Trump, Murphy simply said, “Maybe.”
By maybe, he means definitely. In case you are unfamiliar with the series, each season has its own story, but the cast remains basically the same. The first season was called Murder House and was excellent. So was the second season Asylum. The third season, Coven was pretty bad, but it rebounded with the fourth season Freak Show. The fifth season, Hotel, starring Lady Gaga was horrible, but in comparison it wasn’t as bad as the last season Roanoke.
The thing is, it’s pretty much the same actors appearing in each season, so the question remains: who will play Donald Trump? Kathy Bates is a regular on the series, and after Melissa McCarthy’s portrayal of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer on Saturday Night Live, it’s almost a given that she will be “The Donald.”
As for who will play Hillary Clinton, why not actual Hillary Clinton? It’s not like she has anything better to do. Besides, as much as I like Cuba Gooding Jr. I don’t think he would play a convincing fat old white middle-aged lady.
Murphy didn’t give out a whole lot of details about this upcoming series, but there is no question it will be a liberal “f*ck Trump” hit piece. I imagine it will rip off the plot to Omen III: The Final Conflict where the presidential candidate (Trump) is the anti-Christ.
At some point liberals are going to realize that most people in this country don’t give a shit about their leftist hysterics. Maybe when the next season of American Horror Story flops, they will move on to something productive.
