Obama’s reign of terror is mercifully coming to an end. With no accomplishments or policy successes to point to in 8 years of mucking up the country, it should be very difficult for the liberal media to celebrate his presidency. The great thing about liberals is that are experts at slinging bullshit and twisting reality. The Washington Post has found a way to portray Obama as something other than a failure by touting his ability to talk shit and lie.
In Nine ‘amazing’ moments from the Obama presidency, The WaPo’s Jonathan Capehart, doesn’t even try to extract greatness from Obama’s pathetic tenure. Instead, he goes for those things that impress liberals like acting a fool and being full of shit.
First on the list is when during the 2011 White House Corespondent’s Dinner, Obama gave Donald Trump a bunch of crap for pushing the “birther” issue. He chided Trump for following up on Hillary Clinton’s claim that Obama was not born in the US and ineligible to be president. Obama went on to accuse Trump of being a whacko conspiracy theorist who didn’t believe we really landed on the moon.
Another shit-talking moment is from Obama’s 2015 State of The Union Address, where he taunted Republicans in Congress. After saying he had no more campaigns to run, the president pulled a “scoreboard, bitches” moment by saying, “I know, because I won both of them.”
Since Obama is a noted liar, you just know the list has to include a classic misrepresentation of the truth. Republican Rep. Joe Wilson famously yelled “You Lie!” when Obama told Congress that ObamaCare wouldn’t be available to illegal aliens. Capehart considers this an “amazing” moment, because he believes the president was right. In reality, Obama’s illegal grant of amnesty has opened up ObamaCare to illegal aliens as well as California passing a law to allow them to reap the benefits of this horrible law. Wilson was right; Obama did lie.
Easily the most ridiculous example of Obama’s greatness comes from when he compared himself to dead thug Trayvon Martin. After a jury found George Zimmerman not guilty for killing Martin in self-defense, Obama went on TV and said, “You know, when Trayvon Martin was first shot I said that this could have been my son. Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago.” Is there anything quite as amazing as the POTUS saying he was just like a dope-smoking thief who attacked the wrong man and got shot? This was also part of Obama’s efforts to divide the nation along racial lines, so it’s even worse.
Another great moment in Obama’s presidency is allowing a little kid to touch his head. Lincoln preserved the Union and freed the salves, Reagan won the Cold War and defeated communism, but Obama allowed a child to feel his hair. They’re like three peas in a pod.
The only legitimate accomplishment on the list is taking out Osama bin Laden, but how much did Obama really have to do with that? The intelligence operation to get bin Laden was underway before Obama took office. All he really did was approve the final assault and what president wouldn’t have done that? Do you think if John McCain had won that he would have stopped the Navy SEALs from taking out bin Laden?
The list is rounded out by Obama trying and failing to pass unconstitutional gun control, lighting up the White House in rainbow colors, and participating in a civil rights march 50 years after it was relevant.
If these accomplishments seem underwhelming, and they do, they are even less impressive when you consider the source. Jonathan Capehart and The Washington Post are liberal Obama fanboys, who would give the president a free lap dance if they could, and this is the best they could come up with.
