What do you get when you combine fake news with Trump Derangement Syndrome? The Washington Post is actually blaming President Trump for Hurricane Florence. Why? The hurricane hasn’t even made landfall yet, how can Trump be blamed? Well, according to those “impartial” journalists at the WaPo it’s because Trump doesn’t believe in the man-made global warming myth. This is liberal logic at its finest: Trump doesn’t believe in something that doesn’t exist so therefore a naturally occurring weather phenomenon that happens every year is his fault.
If you think I’m reading something into the WaPo’s claim that isn’t there, this is the actual headline they ran: Another hurricane is about to batter our coast. Trump is complicit.
The article isn’t any better:
Yet when it comes to extreme weather, Mr. Trump is complicit. He plays down humans’ role in increasing the risks, and he continues to dismantle efforts to address those risks. It is hard to attribute any single weather event to climate change. But there is no reasonable doubt that humans are priming the Earth’s systems to produce disasters.
There’s some more of that liberal logic: The WaPo says there is no proof that “climate change” is responsible for Hurricane Florence or any other hurricane and yet it’s still somehow Trump’s fault. Also, if they can’t prove that global warming causes hurricanes, there is massive doubt that “humans are priming the Earth’s systems to produce disasters.”
The WaPo even found a “scientist” who says Trump is causing hurricanes:
Kevin Trenberth, a climate researcher at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, co-wrote a May paper showing that Harvey’s cataclysmic wetness came from the unusually hot Gulf of Mexico water that fed the hurricane before it slammed into Texas. “Harvey could not have produced so much rain without human-induced climate change,” he and his colleagues concluded. Now Florence is feasting on warm Atlantic Ocean water. “The ocean is warming up systematically,” Mr. Trenberth said, explaining that, though natural variation can turn surface temperatures up or down a bit, the oceans’ energy content is inexorably rising. “It is the strongest signal of global warming,” Mr. Trenberth added.
So it is the WaPo’s and this scientist’s opinion that President Trump’s denial of global warming is causing it to rain during a hurricane? What about all of those pre-Trump hurricanes that had rain? Is that his fault too, or is rain something that happens during a hurricane?
Just for fun, let’s pretend that Trump did believe in global warming and never withdrew the US from the Paris Climate Accord, which that’s the only thing Trump has done for or against the climate change crusade. Is the WaPo trying to say that Hurricane Florence wouldn’t exist? No seriously, if Trump did believe in this mumbo-jumbo, would that be enough to stop hurricanes from forming? Of course not. This is pure bullshit. Obama had 8 years to stop global warming and he didn’t do it. The idea that Trump is somehow responsible for hurricanes and global warming less than 2 years into his presidency is easily the dumbest thing liberals have said.
And speaking of dumb things, this is how the WaPo concluded things:
The president has cemented the GOP’s legacy as one of reaction and reality denial. Sadly, few in his party appear to care.
Has the WaPo ever heard of these people called the democrats? They are so reactionary that they run around kicking each other in the ass with their knee-jerkiness. They are so far away from reality that they think men wearing dresses makes them women. They are so far gone they believe killing babies is lifesaving procedure. They are so delusional that they think global warming makes things colder in the winter.
