Liberals are struggling with many things wrong with Hillary Clinton: her lies, her flip-flops, her scandals, her lawlessness, etc…but nothing is more troubling to the left, especially the female left, than Hillary’s serial rapist husband Bill. In easily one of the worst apology pieces ever, the editor and owner of Wonkette says yes, Bill is a rapist, but that doesn’t make him a bad guy or even a bad feminist. I guess as long as you are a democrat, you can stab puppies in the head and light nuns on fire and it’s all good.
To bring you up to speed on this piece, In the Spring of 1978, then Attorney General of Arkansas Bill Clinton invited himself to the hotel room of Juanita Broaddrick, a volunteer helping him run for governor of the state. He forced himself on her sexually, with her trying to fight him off. He proceeded to brutally rape her, ripping her clothes off and biting her lip during the attack. After the rape he told her not to worry because childhood mumps had left him sterile. This was 2 years before his daughter Chelsea was born.
With renewed interest in Bill’s rapey ways, Wonkette editor Rebecca Schoenkopf shared some random thoughts on this. First, some excusing of boys just being boys:
I can absolutely see Bill Clinton doing this (then, not now) and not even thinking of it as rape, but thinking of it as dominant, alpha sex. I can see a LOT of men doing that during that time period, before we started telling them in the ’80s, “hey, that is rape, do not do that.” I can see YOUR NICE GRANDPA doing that, back then.
The late 70’s wasn’t the stone ages. Rape was actually rape back then, especially a violent attack like Bill delivered on this poor woman.
…Broaddrick’s precocious 13-year-old grandson — who sounds like a really sweet young man — has learned this year about his grandmother’s “complicated” past, thanks to overheard conversations and gaps filled in by Google. He says to force sex on a woman means you are an “evil” person. I don’t think this is true. I think you can do something horrible, realize later that it is horrible, be ashamed forever and try to keep it secret and never do it again. (Especially if you’re, say, a teenager whose impulse control is still years away from being properly developed.)
Bill wasn’t a teenager when he did this; he was 32-years-old. Also, that wasn’t the first or last time he sexually assaulted someone. His list of victims is longer than Hillary’s list of laws broken and lies told.
“Rape is about power, not sex.” For those for whom it’s about power, those are the serial rapist guys, and they hate women and want to punish us. But I don’t think that’s in every case. I think good men can rape, and be sorry, and not do it again.
This is unbelievable. Good men don’t rape. Period. There is no gray area here. This woman, who is a feminist BTW, is saying that there are good rapes that are sometimes committed by good guys. I guess as long as you are democrat, the crime of rape just isn’t that bad.
Now get ready for the mutha of all liberal apologies:
To sum up, I think Bill Clinton could very well have raped Juanita Broaddrick; that it doesn’t make him an evil man, or irredeemable (I’m Catholic; we’re all forgiven, if we’re sorry, and Broaddrick says Bill Clinton personally called her up to apologize). It doesn’t even necessarily make him a bad feminist — you know, later, once he stops doing that.
Is this real? You don’t have to be a feminist to understand that rape is an inexcusably evil act. Bill Clinton is a rapist and an evil motherf*cker. He’s not sorry for anything he’s ever done and he continues this horrible behavior to this very day.
If you ever needed proof that liberals have absolutely no morals or scruples, this piece should do it for you. It doesn’t matter what a person’s character is, so long as they are a democrat, they’re all right with Rebecca Schoenkopf and every other lefty who wants to tell the rest of us how to live our lives.
