Last week when an illegal alien was arrested for killing Iowa college student Mollie Tibbitts, liberals scolded conservatives for politicizing the murder. They warned against using this violent tragedy to blame illegal aliens or the broken immigration system. On Sunday a gunman killed two people in Jacksonville and suddenly politicizing murder is all the rage on the left. Despite this not being a mass shooting, liberals are calling it that and blaming the NRA and our country’s gun laws.
Here’s what happened as reported by Fox News:
The gunman who opened fire during a Madden 19 NFL tournament at a restaurant in Jacksonville, Florida, on Sunday afternoon, killing two people before turning the gun on himself, has been described by witnesses and people who knew him as a gamer who erupted in anger after losing the event.
David Katz, 24, of Baltimore, was believed to have fired shots during the event at the Chicago Pizza restaurant and bar in The Jacksonville Landing…
Katz died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after he shot multiple people, police said. In addition to the dead, 11 other people were injured — nine of them with gunshot wounds.
The motive for the shooting appears to be a bad case of butthurt, which I’m sure liberals can relate to:
An eyewitness to Sunday afternoon’s mass shooting told Fox News that the gamer, now identified as Katz, had been eliminated from the tournament before he opened fire.
The witness, who declined to be identified by name but said he was 30 years old, said he did not know the shooter’s identity but noted there were “multiple guys who were upset” at being eliminated from the event.
Remember, a mass shooting is one in which 4 or more people, not including the gunman, are killed in a single event. It’s terrible that two people died in this rampage, but it does not qualify as a mass shooting.
And here’s the democrats politicizing the hell out of what they are falsely calling a mass shooting:
My heart is with the entire Jacksonville community today. Not one more life should be lost to this senseless gun violence – Congress must stop catering to the NRA and act on gun control now.

I am sickened & saddened— & angry beyond words—by another senseless mass shooting adding to 90 deaths every day from gun violence. We cannot accept this continuing epidemic as normal. Congress is complicit by eyes wide open inaction. https://t.co/41P3XH1S0F

So saddened to hear about #JacksonvilleLanding shooting. Families went there for fun and ended up running for their lives. May the dead Rest In Peace and the wounded heal. And to those blessed to be alive and are in a position to do something, just DO SOMETHING. #EnoughIsEnough

Horrific news of yet another mass shooting, this time in #Jacksonville. My heart goes out to all of the victims and their families. Congress needs to step up and protect our nation’s future by passing legislation that would curb gun violence immediately.

I’m heartbroken for Jacksonville. No community should have to suffer from such senseless gun violence. When will Congress have the courage to stand up to the NRA and pass meaningful reforms to help prevent these shootings in America?
— Senator Dick Durbin (@SenatorDurbin) August 27, 2018
My thoughts are with everyone impacted by the shooting today at the Jacksonville Landing — but thoughts are not enough. As we continue to track developments, it’s clear Congress must stop stalling & act to protect Americans from the daily tragedy of gun violence. #NeverAgain

On top of the politicization and lies, many of these democrats are offering “thoughts and prayers” which they regularly attack Republicans for giving.
When liberals say it’s wrong to politicize murder, what they mean is it’s wrong to do it if it destroys a liberal narrative. If it can help push their leftist agenda, then it’s completely appropriate, which is to say liberals are all scumbag hypocrite liars.
