This should solve everything.
Surprisingly, a president whose middle name is Hussein will speak at a mosque.
Not so surprisingly, though, is that the mosque was once led by a guy who thinks it’s okay for Muslims to blow themselves up for the cause of Allah (as long as they take a few “infidels” with them, of course).
President Barack Hussein Obama will visit the Islamic Society of Baltimore (that’s in Baltimore, for those of you who get your news from The Daily Show) because that’s a cool way to make right-wing reactionaries angry and this president believes that making right-wing reactionaries angry is part of his oath of office (the only part that he seems to care about, by the way).
The president will speak for a while at the mosque, much to the applause of everybody who works at MSNBC. We’re certain that he’ll have absolutely nothing to say about Donald J. Trump while he’s there.
However, supporters of the Donald will say that the history of the mosque will vindicate the real estate mogul’s “no more Muslims until we figure out what the hell is going on” immigration policy.
Mohamad Adam el-Sheikh was Imam at the mosque for 18 years. He’s a native of Sudan and a former member of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Oh, yeah. He’s also a fan of suicide bombing.
Back in 2004, he had this to say about Palestinian suicide bombers: “If certain Muslims are to be cornered where they cannot defend themselves, except through these kinds of means, and their local religious leaders issued fatwas to permit that, then it becomes acceptable as an exceptional rule, but should not be taken as a principle.”
Good choice, Mr. President.
