Jayme Closs’ parents were shot 10 days ago. And she’s been missing since. A nationwide manhunt is underway to find her.
From CBS Local:
It’s been a surreal 10 days for this small Wisconsin community. Words of support and countless prayers are displayed on businesses throughout Barron for young Jayme Closs. The sheriff’s office says they are not letting up on the search, and Jayme’s two aunts stood in front a crowd on Wednesday for the first time, and it was quite powerful.
“Jayme, not a moment goes by when we’re not thinking about you and praying for you. Your family and friends miss you so much. Your sparkling eyes, your bright smile, your soft little giggles. Your dog Molly is waiting for you. She’s sleeping in one of your sweatshirts, and will only eat chicken. Grandpa needs new artwork on his fridge. Aunt Suzy wants to go jogging in the park with you. And I want that girls shopping date we planned. I even brought your favorite iced coffee with me today,” Jennifer Smith, Jayme’s aunt, said.
That family has so much to deal with. Funeral services are planned for Jayme’s parents this weekend, at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Cameron, Wis.
Authorities announced Wednesday a $25,000 reward for information helping officers figure out where Jayme Closs is.
