The most recent episode of cultural insanity was witnessed just a few days ago when Fox News Channel anchor Megyn Kelly went on the air and did what she usually does: she spoke the truth.
She said that Santa Claus and Jesus Christ were white.
Oddly enough, the controversy that quickly erupted from various blowhard antagonists was about the race of the fictitious Santa Claus as opposed to the race of Jesus Christ.
For the record: they’re both white.
Santa is, whether we like it or not, frequently depicted as a chubby, older man with a flowing white beard and a white skin tone. This is how he has been portrayed for the last several decades in the United States.
Liberals should just accept it.
When Megyn Kelly recognized this fact out loud, she probably didn’t think that she was saying anything controversial. Well, in fact, she wasn’t saying anything controversial.
Except to those who are certifiable members of the culturally insane.
She was attacked from all quarters, by the typical gasbags in the lamestream media as well as by the late night comics. Most of these people, of course, didn’t take issue with her statement, but they hate Fox News so much that they were hoping to forward a narrative that Fox News is racist.
It didn’t work.
And now, along comes Barbara Walters with the latest insight into just how ridiculous people can be when over-analyzing a question that was answered well before she was born.
She speculates that Santa Claus might be a woman.
