Hillary Clinton has a problem: People don’t think she’s honest.
According to an NBC poll, 38% of those surveyed once thought she was honest. Now, that number is only 25%.
Yes, she actually got worse when she was at 38%.
“The bad news for Clinton: fewer people believe she’s honest and straightforward,” reported NBC’s Lester Holt. “That number dropping from 38% just last year to 25%.”
The news comes as Clinton’s lawyers say that she has agreed to one day of testimony before Congress later this month about the Benghazi and disappearing email controversies.
There wasn’t only bad news for Hillary in that poll, though. She leads every Republican in the field, some of them by double-digits.
But that’s not good enough this far out. We think it’s going be a close election if the economy is like it is right now. We give the GOP candidate the edge if 1) (s)he can actually campaign and 2) the economy takes a nosedive in 2016.
