Let’s file this one under “Democrats can’t keep their slimy paws off of our guns.”
The obsession that liberals have with regulating guns didn’t end with last year’s well-deserved defeat of gun control legislation in the U.S. Senate. These people must lie awake at night, wondering exactly how they can further place some kinds of regulations on law-abiding gun owners. We think it’s an addiction that they should discuss with their respective therapists.
The Attorney General of the United States, who tried to incriminate gun owners en masse with that Fast & Furious scandal that the media doesn’t care about because it would make a Democrat look bad, was talking today about the need for “gun safety” technology. Here’s what he said:
I think that one of the things that we learned when we were trying to get passed those common sense reforms last year, Vice President Biden and I had a meeting with a group of technology people and we talked about how guns can be made more safe. By making them either through finger print identification, the gun talks to a bracelet or something that you might wear, how guns can be used only by the person who is lawfully in possession of the weapon.
It’s those kinds of things that I think we want to try to explore so that we can make sure that people have the ability to enjoy their Second Amendment rights, but at the same time decreasing the misuse of weapons that lead to the kinds of things that we see on a daily basis.
Do you see that? Holder wants technology added to a gun so that only the person who is authorized to shoot it can shoot it. Apparently, this man has never used a computer with a Microsoft Windows operating system on it, or he would know that technology can’t be trusted. It’s quite conceivable that the device he’s proposing could malfunction and somebody wouldn’t be able to shoot a gun in a life-or-death situation.
So, no thanks, Mr. Holder. We know you’re saying that you want that type of technology for the greater good, but 1) we know you’re lying and 2) it wouldn’t be good at all.
