As we reported in this space yesterday, Indiana Governor Mike Pence signed into law a bill that expands the protections of religious people who own businesses. It’s basically a local version of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
Of course, there are still people in existence who oppose religious freedom, and they were none too happy with that bill becoming law. Among those people is well-known child star and public masturbation exhibitionist Miley Cyrus, who took to Instagram to express her disgust.
“You’re an asshole @govpenceIN,” she wrote, making it clear that civil disagreement is not her cup of tea.
She went on: “[T]he only place that has more idiots that[sic] Instagram is in politics…”
Odd that she makes millions of dollars and she can’t afford to hire someone to proofread her social media posts.
She was not the only celebrity to get mad over the law, though. Actor George Takei called for a boycott of Indiana, and we’re certain that all 13 gay people who were planning to vacation in Indiana this summer will now alter their plans accordingly.
We should keep in mind that this law wouldn’t be necessary except for one simple, undeniable fact: Gay people in other states are suing Christian business owners who don’t want to be part of their gay weddings.
Let’s all just live and let live, mmmkay?
