But you probably already knew that.
A Pakistani Muslim cleric drew derision online for saying that women wearing jeans are to blame for terrorism, inflation, and earthquakes.
Oddly enough, he didn’t blame any of those things on Lena Dunham’s recent autobiography.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman not only has the coolest name in Pakistan but he’s also leader of the junior party in Islamabad’s ruling coalition. He’s of the opinion that “immodest women” are responsible for natural, economic, and man-made disasters.
He also compared women who do not completely cover themselves in robes to weapons of mass destruction, making it perfectly clear that he’s someone who we should all take very seriously.
He advised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to carry out a military operation against women who wear jeans. However, he didn’t think about the fact that those women can simply unzip their pants and unleash their threatening vaginas towards any approaching military personnel.
He also reportedly compared women to “sacks of flour.” So, he’s probably a fan of former MSNBC personality Keith Olbermann, who once called conservative author Michelle Malkin a “mashed up bag of meat with lipstick.”
