Could it be that the day is rapidly approaching when the socialist faction of the Democrat party and the media that made her into a star will have to admit that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was never ready for prime time?
The 28-year-old firebrand shocked the establishment when she ran a guerrilla campaign that toppled entrenched Dem Joe Crowley in the June primary in New York’s 14th congressional district and then, during a slow news week leading up to the Fourth Of July weekend, the unvetted neophyte was suddenly catapulted to national fame.
Within days of springing her upset, Ocasio-Cortez ended up on CBS’s The
Hate Late Show with Stephen Colbert and shortly thereafter, was crowned as the “future” of the Democratic party by none other than DNC Chairman Tom Perez.
Ever since the initial product rollout, many on the left are probably experiencing a strong case of buyer’s remorse in addition to more than a few bleeding ulcers as the Lady Gaga of liberalism has become a human gaffe machine and a huge embarrassment to the party months before she gets to Congress where she has already been staking out her territory.
And true to form, she has once again made a buffoon out of herself as it has come to light that after she all but accused ridesharing service Uber of driving taxi drivers to kill themselves, her own campaign has spent thousands of dollars on Uber rides.
Here’s her tweet from back in March when nobody thought she had a snowball’s chance in hell at beating Nancy Pelosi’s lieutenant in the primary:
NYC's fourth driver suicide. Yellow cab drivers are in financial ruin due to the unregulated expansion of Uber. What was a living wage job now pays under minimum.

New York Socialist Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez once blamed ride-sharing giant Uber for leading a yellow cab driver to suicide. Her campaign then took $4,000 worth of Uber rides.
But Ocasio-Cortez, who rose to prominence after defeating top Democrat Joe Crowley in the party’s U.S. House primary in June, is no fan of Uber, if you read her statements on social media.
She frequently criticized the ride-hailing company for what she sees as underpaying its drivers, decrying their pay as “exploitation” if they don’t get at least $15 an hour, the so-called living wage.
She directly blamed the company for the suicide death of Doug Schifter, a driver in his 60s, who killed himself with a shotgun amid financial difficulties caused by flooding the streets of New York with alternative and cheaper options of taxis, as detailed in a lengthy Facebook post.
“NYC’s fourth driver suicide. Yellow cab drivers are in financial ruin due to the unregulated expansion of Uber. What was a living wage job now pays under minimum,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote.
That was in March, months before the New York socialist, who recently lamented the closing down of a coffee shop over minimum wage hikes that she supports, became the new face of the progressive Democratic Party.
But between April and late June, the Ocasio-Cortez campaign recorded spending nearly $4,000 on Uber for what appears to be 160 rides by its staff, Federal Election Commission (FEC) records reveal.
It’s just another example of how Ocasio-Cortez – like the Jelly Of The Month Club – is the give that just “keeps on giving” to oppo researchers and especially establishment Democrats who won’t be allowing this babbling ignoramus to fly under the radar in the future.
Not only has she become the worst possible spokesperson for “democratic socialism” that exists but she is likely to drag Comrade Bernie’s revolution down with her.
