Maybe it’s just me but does anyone else get the feeling that we have now entered a parallel universe in America?
It was only a few short weeks ago when the dangerous craze of teens eating Tide detergent pods and posting the videos on social media had gotten so out of control that YouTube and others removed the videos so as to not encourage them. New England Patriots superstar Rob Gronkowski even teamed with the manufacturers of Tide to put out a short video discouraging it.
But in less than a month, the Tide Pod Generation has gone from being a great American shame to being our current leaders in the “debate” on how to run the country.
The students in #Parkland are being proactive to achieve gun violence protection measures, which @ukcollegeoflaw professor @JoshuaADouglas argued is a major reason the voting age should be lowered. Via @CNNOpinion: https://t.co/AEVhxz4pKT

All that it took was one school shooting, a well-funded and highly-coordinated anti-Second Amendment movement and a crooked cable television network falsely presenting itself as a legitimate source of news and Americans are being scolded by teenagers who have somehow become wise beyond their years and are presented as morally superior to their elders.
Last night’s grotesque orgy of anti-gun propaganda on CNN aside, liberals have come up with a genius new idea to vastly expand their voting base.
Lower the voting age to sixteen!
Leftist Harvard egghead professor Laurence Tribe – a fanatical Trump-hater – called for a “children’s crusade” for gun control as well as lowering the voting age to sixteen.
Teens between 14 and 18 have far better BS detectors, on average, than “adults” 18 and older. Wouldn’t it be great if the voting age were lowered to 16? Just a pipe dream, I know, but . . . #Children’sCrusade?

Via the Washington Times “Harvard Law professor wants ‘Children’s Crusade’ for gun control, lower voting age”:
Harvard Law professor Laurence Tribe says a “#Children’sCrusade” may be just what America needs to implement new gun control measures.
Mr. Tribe, who was appointed the first Senior Counselor for Access to Justice in 2010 by then-President Obama, said Monday on Twitter that the “BS detectors” of children should be allowed to work in voting booths.
“Teens between 14 and 18 have far better BS detectors, on average, than ‘adults’ 18 and older,” he tweeted. “Wouldn’t it be great if the voting age were lowered to 16? Just a pipe dream, I know, but … #Children’sCrusade? … #ChildrensCrusade = #MarchForOurLives! Make this as big as possible.
The “March For Our Lives” is the latest in the line of choreographed protests to take place since the election of President Trump and is ironically being subsidized by big Hollywood names while the complicity of the entertainment industry in school shootings is completely ignored.
Propaganda machine CNN also made that call in advance of their Orwellian shit show.
"The real adults in the room are the youth from Parkland, Florida, who are speaking out about the need for meaningful gun control laws."
— CNN (@CNN) February 20, 2018
he real adults in the room are the youth from Parkland, Florida, who are speaking out about the need for meaningful gun control laws. They are proving that civic engagement among young people can make a difference. The ironic part? They can’t even vote yet.
Several municipalities in the United States allow 16- and 17-year-olds to vote in local elections. Takoma Park, Maryland, was the first city to lower the voting age, thanks mostly to the advocacy efforts of youth themselves who convinced the city council that they should have a voice in local governance. Other cities in Maryland, like Hyattsville and Greenbelt, have followed suit. Larger cities are also debating the measure: In 2016, Berkeley, California, voters agreed to lower the voting age to 16 for school board elections, while a ballot proposition in San Francisco to lower the voting age for all city elections narrowly lost. Advocates are likely to try again in San Francisco in 2020.
Lowering the voting age has the potential to increase turnout significantly.

Got a problem with getting the African-American vote out on election day? ICE raids discouraging illegal aliens? Fast food workers too undependable?
No, problem. Lower the voting age to include those impressionable minds who are gullible enough to swallow liberal propaganda and then stroke their young egos by tricking them into believing that they will actually have a seat at the table.
In time they will assume power in this country but not until Generation Tide Pod has lived long enough to have experience and perspective.
The manipulation of these shooting survivors may not be the very definition of evil but it gets pretty damn close.
It just goes to show that Democrats would sell the souls of their own children to the devil if it helped them to win elections.
