Could it be that Michael Avenatti’s 2020 presidential bid has already been strangled in the cradle?
The “creepy porn lawyer” who burst onto the political scene earlier this year and then suckled on CNN’s teat to become a semi-legitimate dark horse for the upcoming Democratic party presidential nomination continues his run of bad luck.
According to multiple reports, Avenatti has been arrested in Los Angeles on charges that he beat his wife during a heated argument that escalated.

Via The Hollywood Reporter, “Michael Avenatti Arrested For Suspected Felony Domestic Violence”:
A report for the alleged abuse was filed Tuesday.
Michael Avenatti was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence on Wednesday, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
A report for the alleged abuse was filed Tuesday, a Los Angeles police spokesman said.
Avenatti is Stormy Daniels’ attorney. He has made a name for himself by going after President Trump and his White House.
Avenatti is awaiting booking, police said. It is unclear at which L.A. station he will be processed.
The lawyer, who rose to fame as the attorney for Stormy Daniels (nee Stephanie Clifford) in her defamation lawsuit against President Trump, has emerged as a vocal and harsh critic of the president in seemingly ubiquitous appearances on cable news, in fiery tweets and in public appearances. “There’s only one way that these tweets and this behavior and this conduct and this misogyny is going to end, and it’s only going to end if you displace Donald Trump from the presidency of the United States,” the lawyer said recently at Politicon.
TMZ adds additional details on the incident:
Our law enforcement sources say Avenatti was arrested Wednesday after his estranged wife filed a felony DV report. We’re told her face was “swollen and bruised” with “red marks” on both cheeks.
Our sources say the alleged incident occurred Tuesday night, but there was another confrontation Wednesday between the two at an exclusive apartment building in the Century City area of L.A.
We’re told Wednesday afternoon the wife was on the sidewalk on her cellphone with sunglasses covering her eyes, sobbing and screaming on the phone, “I can’t believe you did this to me. I’m going to get a restraining order against you.”
We’re told security brought her inside the building, took her upstairs and Michael showed up 5 minutes later, running into the building. He screamed repeatedly, “She hit me first.” We’re told he angrily added, “This is bulls***, this is f***ing bulls***.”
It was already going to be an uphill climb for Avenatti who was blamed by many for his mucking up the plot to sink Brett Kavanaugh but this could literally be the fork in his ass with the party that falsely presents itself as the champion of women.
This is a developing story.
