In the upcoming elections that will could tip the balance from freedom to fascism, the state of Florida will be where some of the most vicious political trench warfare will be conducted.
Millions of dollars of leftist money have been pouring into the Sunshine State in the aftermath of the Valentine’s Day massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and the nation’s biggest swing state could play a big role in deciding the winner of the 2020 presidential election if the Dems are to erect a firewall against the Trumpslide.
Democrats and their deep-pocketed out-of-state donors and front groups have clearly made the decision that the tragic shootings will be exploited, David Hogg and the Fab Five will be hitting every congressional district and “die-ins” will be a weekly if not daily occurrence.
In the tooth fang and claw race to replace outgoing Republican Rick Scott in Tallahassee, one of the state’s most influential papers – the Tampa Bay Times – has been actively providing propaganda targeting the GOP’s Adam Putnam and shilling for the Democrats.
One of those Democrats is Gwen Graham who has tried to distance herself from the field by invoking the most extremist rhetoric to date.
Graham promises that if elected as governor, that she would use her executive power to ban “assault rifles” and pave the way to gun confiscation which is exactly what will occur once law-abiding citizens are designated as criminals by the head of state.

Via Florida Politics “During debate, Gwen Graham pledges to ban assault weapons by executive order”:
It was a debate that (once again) had Florida’s four leading Democratic gubernatorial candidates spending much of their time trying to define personas and opponents.
But on Saturday night in St. Petersburg, former U.S. Rep. Gwen Graham broke through with a bold pledge — to ban assault weapons by executive order.
“My commitment to you is action, not words. I have found a public safety statute [Graham’s staff later identified it as Florida Statute 14.022, which allows the Governor to take emergency action to quell violence] that allows the Governor, whoever she may be, to sign an executive order for public safety reasons banning the sale of military assault weapons,” Graham said during the debate hosted by Spectrum and its Bay News 9 cable channel in Tampa Bay and News 13 channel in Orlando.
Graham’s staff then fired-off a news release indicating she would sign such an order in her first week in office; it also would require universal background checks on gun purchases.
According to Graham’s campaign website:
As governor, Gwen will fight to:
- Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines;
- Implement comprehensive universal background checks on all gun sales to stop criminals and terrorists from purchasing guns;
- Require abusers to surrender firearms when a protective order is issued against them to protect victims of domestic violence;
- Invest in mental health and give law enforcement the tools they need to prevent those with serious mental illness from purchasing or keeping firearms.
It’s not like Graham is an outlier, similar efforts to force the proverbial camel’s nose under the tent by banning certain forms of weapons are underway nationally using cookie-cutter talking points and legislation that has been pre-written by groups like Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown For Gun Safety.
