In another bit of the incremental creeping socialism that the radicalized political left is imposing on America, Georgia lawmakers are preparing to provide feminine hygiene products to “low income” women in the Peach State.
For the first time, space has been carved out of the budget in order to provide pads and tampons to those who are unable to purchase the off-the-shelf products for themselves.
While it falls short of the calls for free college tuition, free health care and the confiscation of money from white people to slavery reparations to blacks who have never been slaves but it’s progress towards those goals and you can bet that it isn’t going to stop at tampons.

Via The Hill, “Georgia will provide free menstrual hygiene products to low-income girls, women”:
Lawmakers in Georgia have set aside funds in the state’s multi-dollar budget for the first time to provide low-income women and girls with free menstrual pads and tampons.
Lawmakers decided to allocate $1.5 million out the state’s $27.5 billion budget for the 2020 fiscal year to fund the effort, according to The Atlanta-Journal Constitution.
The funding will go toward both schools and community centers located in low-income areas Georgia.
State House Speaker Pro Tem Jan Jones (R) reportedly negotiated with lawmakers to have the funding included in the 2020 budget after she derailed efforts earlier this year to have the 4 percent tax on feminine hygiene products lifted.
Under the new spending plan, $1 million will be allocated from the budget to the Georgia Department of Education to ease the burden of young girls who miss school because their families are struggling to purchase feminine hygiene products.
Already it’s not enough with one Twitter user calling for free tampons for ALL females who are being discriminated against by what she has labeled as a “tax” against women.
In my lifetime I want them to be free for all women, everywhere, regardless of country or income. At the moment it’s a tax on being a woman. Ridiculous.
