Shortly before the Justice Department sprung the surprise that it had appointed a special counsel to assume control of the Trump-Russia witch hunt, a pack of whiny celebrities had sent a letter to Congress.
The letter was demanding the appointment prosecutor and included Deputy Attorney Rod Rosenstein on the distribution list. It was only hours afterward that the announcement was made and while that’s not to say that the leftist freaks have influence with the DOJ, it certainly made their day.
Some of the slimiest creatures in the moonbat fever swamps made the request.
Alec Baldwin who hasn’t had a hit movie in years but who has resurrected his career by playing Trump on the leftist propaganda show Saturday Night Live headed up the list. Also signing were porky revolutionary Michael Moore, the Incredible Hulk aka Mark Ruffalo and even Hanoi Jane herself among a star-studded cast of celebrity anti-Trump freaks and basket cases.
According to the Hill “Hollywood stars call for Trump special prosecutor”:
Some of Hollywood’s most high-profile stars — including Alec Baldwin, Zoe Saldana, Julianne Moore, Sally Field, Mark Ruffalo, and Michael Moore — are calling on Congress and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to create an independent commission and appoint a special prosecutor to investigate ties between Russia and President Trump’s presidential campaign.
“It is time to put country before political party,” says the Wednesday letter to Rosenstein, Sens. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), and Reps. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) and Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).
“The founders of our nation intended to ensure that no one branch of government could supersede the authority of the others and that no individual, not even the president, would be above the law,” the letter, signed by a who’s who of Hollywood entertainers, states.
The hodgepodge of celebrities, many of them known to be left-leaning, includes Broadway star Patti Lupone, directors Lee Daniels, Paul Haggis, and Dustin Lance Black, singer Melissa Etheridge, Jane Fonda, “Frozen’s” Josh Gad, “Captain America’s” Chris Evans and Marisa Tomei.
“Today, we fear the bedrock principles of our democracy are being put to the test in ways unlike any others in our nation’s history. Donald Trump’s actions over the past week have put our country on a path toward a constitutional crisis,” the signers write in the letter.
Once the constitutional experts had weighed in, the rapid naming of former FBI Director Robert Mueller to conduct a sweeping and endless fishing expedition likely instilled in them the idea that they now have to power to influence events.
The celebs will likely be stars with leading roles in the DNC’s extravaganza Resistance Summer coming to a town near you very soon.
The left’s grand delusion continues to play out in an excruciating horror show as America nears the dummy apocalypse.
