Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley has set the date for the confirmation hearings for Judge Brett Kavanaugh and liberals are foaming at the mouth.
Despite every effort by Chuck Schumer, Dianne Feinstein and the rest of the obstructionist Democrats to stall, Grassley defied the minority and will get the ball rolling with the hope that Judge Kavanaugh will be seated on the Supreme Court by the time that the next session begins in October.
Democrats and their activist mobs will now have to decide if they want the Kavanaugh nomination to be the hill that they will choose to die on because he has the support, is well-respected and the unhinged left may want to keep their powder dry in the event that fossilized Ruth Bader Ginsburg doesn’t make it for those 5-10 extra years as she plans.
The hearings will commence on September 4th.

Via Fox News, “Kavanaugh confirmation hearings set to start on Sept. 4”:
Grassley, R-Iowa, said in a statement on Friday that he expects the hearings to go on for three to four days, with opening statements taking up much of Day 1.
Grassley said his team has reviewed hundreds of thousands of pages related to Kavanaugh’s time as a federal judge, calling Kavanaugh “one of the most respected jurists in the country and one of the most qualified nominees ever to be considered by the Senate for a seat on our highest court.”
“My team has already reviewed every page of the over 4,800 pages of judicial opinions Judge Kavanaugh wrote, over 6,400 pages of opinions he joined, more than 125,000 pages of records produced from his White House legal service, and over 17,000 pages in response to the most comprehensive questionnaire ever submitted to a nominee.”
Democrats have argued that Republicans are rushing the process for the lifetime appointment without proper vetting. They insist the Republicans are relying on the cherry-picked files being released primarily by President George W. Bush’s lawyer, Bill Burck, who is compiling and vetting the documents, rather than the traditional process conducted by the National Archives and Records Administration.
The Archives has said its review of some one million pages of Kavanaugh records the committee requested will not be available until the end of October.
The top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California, said scheduling the hearing before the documents are ready “is not only unprecedented but a new low in Republican efforts to stack the courts.”
Why Feinstein has any say in the matter is mystifying, especially since she was so incompetent during her years as the head of the Senate Intelligence Committee that she employed a Chinese spy for two decades and somehow managed to avoid being held accountable. God knows she wouldn’t resign because that would be the decent thing to do and like her fellow Dems, Feinstein has not one DNA particle of decency in her entire body.
Di Fi and her fellow Senate blowhards like the hysterical Cory Booker can huff and puff all that they want but they don’t have the votes to deny Kavanaugh his seat on the bench to replace retired justice Anthony Kennedy and they are likely to lose even more seats in November.
Expect a lot of sound and fury but at the end, the Dems will go down in defeat.
