Granted that the Democrats quickly went to the race card after Bernie Sanders’ candidate Andrew Gillum shocked the heavily favored Gwen Graham to win the Florida gubernatorial primary largely because the corrupt mayor of Tallahassee’s socialist policies are radioactive to moderates, but what is it about the word “monkey” that triggers such fury with the racial outrage mob?
Gillum’s opponent, Republican Ron DeSantis made dropped the term “monkey it up” in a totally non-racial context while warning Floridians of the disastrous consequences of Comrade Bernie’s ideas and Gillum and the media quickly pounced to twist it as though DeSantis had actually called him a monkey which he didn’t.
It was what led to the end of abrasive comedian Roseanne Barr after she mocked Obama-whisperer Valerie Jarrett – who isn’t even black – as something out of “Planet of the Apes” and she had been fired by Disney within hours.
The question is, do many people of color have such piss-poor self-esteem that they are triggered when they hear the word “monkey” and in knee-jerk fashion, quickly deduce that it means them?
Who knows what the answer is but one thing is for certain, there is a HUGE double standard in play. For example, take flamboyant NFL receiver Odell Beckham Jr. He’s the freak who did an end zone celebration of a peeing dog last season and despite his well-deserved reputation of being a problem child and a mouthy head case, the wide receiver just made mega-bank with a $95 million contract from the New York Giants.
During an appearance on race prophet LeBron James’ new HBO show “The Shop” where the loudmouthed NBA star who seems to fancy himself as the Martin Luther King Jr. of Twitter lounges around on a set that looks like a barber shop and invites other narcissistic boob athletes to rip whitey and bitch about how oppressed that they are.
OBJ not only said that black NFL players are treated like “zoo animals” but also referred to himself as – you guessed it – A MONKEY.

Breitbart has the following from the transcript:
To me, I be feeling like, I tell people this all the time- I really feel like a zoo animal. Like that’s where life’s gone for me. You know, you used to take your kids to the zoo and we used to be like, you know, I want to see the lions or let’s go see the lions. And you go out there, and the lions are laid out. You know what I mean? And it’s like, why aren’t they doing lion stuff, you know what I mean? Like I’ve got people who call out, Odell! Dance! Like, I’m a show punk, a show monkey or something. Like I’m a puppet, you know what I mean? And it’s like to me, that doesn’t feel good, but it’s like, damn, that’s what life became. But, can you ever really detach from that?
When you’re growing up in sports or hip-hop, whatever the case may be, all you hear is like, I want to be the best. Whoever’s the best, they do it their way, whatever the case may be. And then, when you do it your way, and you win, it still ain’t enough.
It still ain’t enough. And, and, and that’s for us as African Americans because I believe if the greatest quarterback in the world, he’s a white quarterback, if it’s Brady, if it’s Rodgers, if it’s Manning.
And we’re doing the same shit, the same exact sh*t, I’m talking about the phone is on. We’re like, “Yo, get that fucking phone out of my face. I’m with my family.” If we’re out with our family, and we say that shit, and somebody posts it, and if Aaron Rodgers or one of those guys say that shit and they post it, somebody’s going to be like, “Hey you guys should respect Aaron Rodgers.”
It looks like “monkey” is just like “n*gger” which is a word that black people have their vocabulary saturated with and yet it’s only RACIST when a white person utters it. It would seem that there is a hell of a lot of hypocrisy at play here.
One thing is for sure, if OBJ is a monkey, he’s a very rich one.
These clowns are just never happy and never will be as long as they are toting around those chips on their shoulders.
