In what would have been inconceivable only last week, the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh is now in serious peril after a clearly orchestrated smear campaign in which the well-respected jurist was accused of attempted rape that allegedly took place decades ago.
California’s Dianne Feinstein kicked off the narrative with a letter from a then-anonymous “victim” who claimed that Kavanaugh tried to have his way with her when they were both in high school.
The secret letter that Di Fi and fellow Democrat Dick Durbin sent to the FBI can now be seen as only being the launch point of what has now become a filthy joint venture between Dems, the media and hardcore Never Trumpers that at the very least, will push Kavanaugh’s hearings until after the critical midterm elections.
The woman who claims that Kavanaugh attacked her has now been revealed as a radical leftist California college professor whose anonymity was revealed by the anti-Trump propaganda organ The Washington Post which outed her in an explosive piece that was fed into the news cycle just in time for the upcoming week.
This now has the very familiar look of the WaPo’s similar destruction campaign against Alabama Republican Roy Moore who himself was viciously characterized as a sex offender and a pedophile in a disgraceful episode that crushed the controversial outsider’s Senate bid.
While Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Chuck Grassley has defied Democrats who have demanded that the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings be put on hold for a Muelleresque endless investigation, the WaPo story has now given political cover to “Republicans” with a score to settle against President Trump.
Like outgoing Arizona Senator Jeff Flake who has pounced on this act of political scumbaggery to exact revenge against his hated enemy on his way out the door.
Flake has now joined his Democrat compatriots who are looking to humiliate Trump by forcing him to scuttle the Kavanaugh nomination.
Flake's revenge? Trump antagonist holds power over Supreme Court pick https://t.co/rW7mXtmAie

Jeff Flake once said Donald Trump didn’t deserve to win the presidency. He later wrote the book, literally, on why Trump is destroying the GOP.
Now Flake holds the keys to a Supreme Court confirmation Trump prizes dearly — and could soon yank them away.
Flake flashed a yellow light Sunday night on Brett Kavanaugh’s high court bid, telling POLITICO that he won’t support advancing the nomination this week if fellow senators don’t do more to hear out a woman accusing the nominee of sexual assault more than three decades ago. Opposition from the Arizona Republican wouldn’t doom Kavanaugh outright, but it already has ratcheted up political pressure on a GOP struggling to keep Trump’s Supreme Court nominee from a full implosion.
Flake is a charter member of the GOP’s anti-Trump caucus, one of only a few senators in the president’s party who freely tee off on the president’s handling of issues from trade to Russia, though they rarely actively undercut his agenda. Another member of that caucus, Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), also called on Sunday night for a delay in the Kavanaugh confirmation process.
