Bloodthirsty whack job John McCain continues to publicly unravel in a very ugly way. The Arizona senator raged that the alleged Russian hack of Democratic party officials was an “act of war” as he began honing his blade for incoming president Donald Trump.
Despite a heated 2008 election campaign it has now come to pass that Barack Obama has no greater ally than McCain as he works to sell his nonexistent evidence that Putin intervened in the election to in order to scuttle Hillary. McCain was in rare form when he went on Ukrainian television (hmm..) to spew his bombastic rhetoric.
According to CNN “McCain: Russian cyberintrusions an ‘act of war”:
Sen. John McCain said Friday that Russia’s alleged meddling in the 2016 presidential election amounted to an “act of war.”
The Arizona Republican, who is chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, also has scheduled a hearing for next week on foreign cyberthreats to the US, which will also focus on Russian cyberhacking, a committee aide told CNN earlier Friday.
McCain, who is one of Washington’s most prominent foreign policy hardliners, has criticized the recent sanctions and expulsions announced by the Obama administration this week as insufficient and belated. He made his latest comments in Ukraine, a nation threatened by a resurgent Russia, after meeting with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
“When you attack a country, it’s an act of war,” McCain said of the recent hackings on Ukrainian TV, according to a transcript compiled by Reuters. “And so we have to make sure that there is a price to pay so that we can perhaps persuade Russians to stop this kind of attacks on our very fundamentals of democracy.”
McCain’s new tribunal will set new standards for witch hunting and could spill over into the inevitable impeachment of Trump once the case has been made over Russian meddling. Like Julius Caesar the new president will take office amidst a swirling array of plots in the Senate which could boil over into his removal from office – hey, if you can’t beat him at the ballot box there are other ways. It was only days ago that McCain’s better half Lindsey Graham boasted that 99 senators were against Trump on improving relations with the nuclear superpower.
Americans can thank the voters in Arizona for yet another six years of this insane warmongering crank.
