Many conservatives have been reluctant to ever criticize Meghan McCain despite their distaste for her loathsome and now dead as a doornail dad but that may change after her disgusting performance at the National Cathedral on Saturday.
It was there that the corrupted bipartisan political elite aka the uniparty all gathered to give a sendoff to their beloved “Maverick” whose hatred for President Trump burned hotter than the flames of Hades that he is now being roasted by.
The long goodbye of one of the nastiest pieces of work to ever prowl the halls of the U.S. Capitol has been force fed to Americans by the media that created McCain and has dragged on for ane excruciating eight consecutive days and he hasn’t even been buried yet.
But the yesterday’s spectacle showed the incestuous relationship between the creatures of the swamp despite their party affiliation. There were Obamas, Bushes, Clintons and all manner of political figures who were united in one thing: their visceral anger over an election that didn’t go their way as well as a relentless hostility toward the man who the voters chose to as the nation’s leader. McCain and all of the rest of the swine love to pay lip service to “democracy” but it is their refusal to accept the results of a legitimate election that puts their hypocrisy on display for all who aren’t blind.
Like Aretha Franklin’s service on Friday, McCain’s funeral rapidly degenerated into a Trump-bashing rally where speaker after speaker, pounded away on the president like he was a pinata.
And it was the co-host of ABC’s “The View” who stole the show by dishonoring her own father’s memorial services to take a cheap shot at Trump’s “Make America Great Again” campaign slogan.
Via the Associated Press, “Meghan McCain’s eulogy: ‘America was always great’”:
John McCain’s daughter opened his memorial service, her voice rising from tearful to impassioned tribute, by posing her father’s legacy as a direct challenge to President Donald Trump.
Meghan McCain said her father was a “great man” and she encouraged others to live up to his example, setting a tone that echoed the senator’s own fighting spirit as services began Saturday at the Washington National Cathedral.
“We gather here to mourn the passing of American greatness — the real thing, not cheap rhetoric from men who will never come near the sacrifice he gave so willingly, nor the opportunistic appropriation of those who lived lives of comfort and privilege while he suffered and served,” she said, her voice first choking back tears then raising to anger.
She said to applause, “The America of John McCain has no need to be made great again because America was always great.”
Trump is not on hand for the ceremony, after McCain’s family made clear he was not invited.
It’s both sad and disgusting but this is what happens when someone spends their days hanging around with bigots and America-haters like Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar on “The View” where Ms. McCain works as the token “conservative” and has much in common with her co-hosts than she would admit.
Perhaps now that Ms. McCain has shown her true colors, her adoring fans may have second thoughts about their reverence for sanctimonious pudgeball.
