Golfing legend Tiger Woods earned the eternal hostility of The Resistance when he refused to be goaded into denouncing President Trump during a weekend news conference.
The 42-year-old star who has been enjoying a career resurgence had just come off the links at New Jersey’s Ridgewood Country Club and instead of being asked about his final-round 70 at The Northern Trust Open, a Jim Acosta wannabe tried to pin Woods down on his feelings on Trump’s immigration policies.
Give it to the unflappable Tiger because he took the high road by acknowledging that he has known Trump for years and then dropped this bomb: “He’s the President of the United States,” Woods said. “You have to respect the office. No matter who is in the office, you may like, dislike personality or the politics, but we all must respect the office.”
As the press mob began to get worked up into a feeding frenzy, Woods refused to comment on the state of race relations in American and instead politely excused himself to go eat dinner which quickly triggered the race-obsessed Trump-haters in the media.
None more so than ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith who didn’t simply accuse Tiger of being an Uncle Tom but went so far as to try to strip his blackness from him entirely for his unforgivable sin of not joining that lynch mob.
In an insane rant that makes one wonder what he is even doing on a sports network to begin with, the fulminating Smith went off after liberal ninny Max Kellerman teed it up.

Via The Daily Wire, “ESPN Goes Insane Over Tiger Woods’ Trump Comments: ‘He’s Not Black'”:
This completely mild response set off the “First Take” crew.
“It really bothers me. I’m angry at what Tiger Woods said, because it is a thoughtless statement dressed up as a thoughtful statement, and it either holds in contempt the intelligence of people who hear it, or else it’s just a stupid thing to say,” said Kellerman. The co-host argued that “having respect for the office means, principally, in my view, is the officer-holder should have respect for the office.”
“Well, we all know that,” agreed Smith.
“Tiger Woods is … being slick,” continued an upset Kellerman, adding, “I don’t even know if he believes that’s what he’s saying.”
“Well, first of all, we don’t know what Tiger Woods believes. He’s Cablinasian. He’s not black,” responded Smith. “When he got arrested, he was black. He was listed black on the report.”
While Woods has himself at times not identified himself as black but “Cablinasian” it is an asinine statement from Smith because by using the same rationale, former President Barack Obama isn’t black either.
ESPN made a lot of headway when it just paid off obnoxious racist host Jemele Hill to leave the network a mere year after stirring controversy by calling Trump a “white supremacist” but they still have a serious problem with SJW hotheads like Smith who never fails to turn a report on sports into his twisted take on the oppression of blacks in America and it’s hard to see any real reversal of poor ratings and a dwindling subscriber base until they just back up the truck and clean house.
Maybe I’m getting old but I remember the day when ESPN was actually about sports instead of the persecution complex of their race-obsessed talking heads.
