The second biggest sore loser behind Hillary Clinton may have gravely miscalculated his appeal as rank and file Republicans and conservative media analysts all line up to kick Mitt Romney in the balls over his very poorly thought out anti-Trump screed in the Washington Post.
Romney may have choked like a dog against Barack Obama in 2012 but is now a full-fledged member of the United States Senate and was given a plum seat on the Foreign Relations Committee as well but the neocons and Never Trumpers are counting on him to be their champion now that Jeff Flake has slinked off to a television studio and John McCain is worm food.
Many brickbats have been launched in Mitt’s direction but none are quite so epic as this one from Republican Senator Joe Kennedy of Lousiana.
Senator John Kennedy had some criticism for new colleague Mitt Romney today over his op-ed blasting President Donald Trump‘s character.
Romney has been getting serious criticism from many in his own party. Senator David Perdue called it an attempt at “character assassination.”
On Fox News this morning, Kennedy told Neil Cavuto he personally likes Romney, “but for the millions and millions of Americans who are better off today than they were two years ago, his op-ed piece, his behavior was about as popular as head lice.”
Cavuto suggested Romney’s still salty over being passed over for Secretary of State, saying the Utah senator looks “all over the map on this and appearing very phony.”
What’s next? Less popular than foot fungus?
