The Democrats would be wise to think very seriously about the wisdom of choosing Elizabeth Warren as their next general election candidate.
With the preemption of the Clinton restoration creating a void in party leadership many have lined up behind the strident Massachusetts senator as their new hope.
While the zanier elements of the Dems’ base would love to have Fauxahontas as their champion against President Trump, one person in particular would love to see her emerge from the pack: Donald Trump.
Trump himself has indicated that he would be overjoyed to run against the fake Indian.

According to The Hill “Trump: Elizabeth Warren running against me would be ‘a dream'”:
President Trump said in an interview broadcast Saturday night that Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) launching a presidential bid against him would be “a dream come true.”
“I think she’d lose so badly,” Trump said during an interview on Fox News’ “Watters’ World.”
Trump claimed Warren, a top surrogate for 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, “was getting up with that craziness and that anger” in speeches on the campaign trail.
“I think she hurt Hillary Clinton very badly,” Trump said. “I watched those speeches – the anger, the hatred, in her heart – and I said, ‘Ya know, she’s really bad for Hillary.'”
“Pocahontas would not be proud of her as her representative, believe me,” Trump continued, resurfacing his campaign trail nickname for the Democratic senator.
Fox host Jesse Watters suggested that Warren, who is among several Democratic senators often floated as a possible 2020 contender, is “probably going to run against you.”
“I hope so,” Trump responded. “That would be a dream come true.”
Indeed, the hatchet-faced harpy can be accused of being many things and rational is not one of them. Warren set hew standards for ugly demagoguery after she enlisted as Hillary’s surrogate and while such shrillness may delight the angry base, it is a huge turnoff to normal people.
Princess Shrieking Moonbat would have to claw her way out of a crowded field that will likely include Obama v.2 aka Cory Booker, weeping Chuck Schumer, Andrew Cuomo and maybe even Hillary herself.
Warren’s vitriolic demeanor and proclivity for making an ass out of herself probably make her a bit of a long shot but it would be the greatest show on earth to watch Trump verbally pummel her on a daily basis over the course of several months.
I’d actually pay money to watch it.
