The next phase in the war on American history has now officially begun. Having moved beyond Confederate statues as predicted, the fanatical left is going after other figures who they deem to be unfit to adorn public places.
Citizens in Baltimore were greeted on Wednesday morning by the sight of a statue of Francis Scott Key – the man who wrote the Star-Spangled Banner – covered in red paint with the words “Racist Anthem” written on it.
Pay no mind to the fact that the song was written decades before the existence of the Confederacy, Key has now been placed on the short list for cultural cleansing.

According to the Baltimore Sun “’Racist Anthem’ spray painted on 106-year-old Francis Scott Key statue in Baltimore”:
Mayor Catherine Pugh was disappointed by the vandalism of the Francis Scott Key monument in Baltimore on Wednesday — and has no plans to remove the monument from Eutaw Place, a spokesman said.
Exactly 203 years after the attorney penned the poem that would later become the national anthem, the city awoke to find the words “Racist Anthem” spray-painted on the Bolton Hill monument and red paint splashed on it.
Baltimore police are investigating, and the city’s Commission on Historic Art Preservation will send a conservator to evaluate how to clean it and what that will cost. But officials don’t have a plan for protecting the monument against future vandalism, Pugh spokesman Anthony McCarthy said.
“We can’t ensure it’s not going to happen again,” McCarthy said. “We understand the freedom of expression, but there certainly has to be a more constructive and productive way to have a conversation about history.”
Baltimore police received a report of the vandalism at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. They have no suspects.
It’s hardly an encouraging response from the office of Baltimore’s African-American mayor who doesn’t seem to give a hoot in hell about allowing criminals to run amok with no accountability as long as they are vandalizing statues of white people. If a statue of Martin Luther King Jr. was defaced in a similar manner, there would likely be no amount of resources that Pugh wouldn’t devote to hunting down the culprits.

The vandalism of the Baltimore statue is a sign that the militant movement that was sparked by former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s protest of the national anthem during NFL games is now slowly coalescing into an anti-American revolutionary movement, unlike anything that this country has seen before.
The media bears a large share of the blame for growing this hysteria in a petri dish as a dishonest and despicable way to smear President Donald Trump as a white supremacist – with a big assist to Hillary Clinton’s stooges – and now it has mutated and escaped the laboratory.
What it will eventually become is unknown at this time.
