President Obama called Boston his ‘model’ for the nation when he introduced Obamacare, and it’s no surprise that something he touched with his magic wand has the longest doctor wait times in the country. Patients wait an average of 45 days for an appointment.
In the major U.S. cities, people wait an average of 18 days. Is this outrageous or what?
This survey was conducted in the fall of 2013, when the disastrous roll out of Obamacare was taking place. Massachusetts has had a health care law for many years, and Obama built the Affordable Care Act around this type of law. So it’s no surprise that something that Obama created and mimicked is a train wreck.
People in Boston are not proud of this legacy, and they get frustrated waiting for their doctor to call them back and schedule an appointment. Citizens wait weeks to get their prescriptions, get questions answered, and have their phone calls returned. And this is what the ACA was built around? Wow. What a sad story that must be.
The Affordable Care Act didn’t improve health care, it destroyed it. And when people are having their health care taken away and replaced with broken promises, it’s no wonder people in Boston are becoming impatient with their health care model.
